Shout out to Stacy!
Stacy comes to work each shift energetic and upbeat and openly shares that enthusiasm to both the clients and her coworkers around her. Stacy does not hesitate to credit someone's strengths to that person and will address areas that need improvement in a way that acknowledges what that person already does well and how that person can use their strengths to improve their weaknesses. Stacy has also always been trusted to help her coworkers in whatever way she can. Stacy is this way with the clients also. She will praise one client's sense of humor and applaud another client's dedication to organizing, making sure each client knows what they bring to the group in their group home, and that what they bring is appreciated.
You're doing amazing work, Stacy!

Leading up to DSP Week this month, employees were nominated by their co-workers for one of the six values of Inspiring Lives. April was nominated and received a gift basket for exemplifying COLLABORATION!
"I would like to nominate April....She has gone above & beyond for Inspiring Lives & clients. April has come in on her day off to transport or pickup clients & works extra-long shifts when there isn't anyone to cover the shift. Thanks."

Staff Shout out to Fred!
Fred was instrumental to helping Cardinal clients get into a new home. Fred found the new house and talked with the landlord. He worked out all the kinks in getting everything into place, including making sure we have doors with locks/keys for each bedroom, cleaning the new place and the old house, the details in the lease, getting the leases signed and delivered, and working out all the details of moving them. He took charge of this task and completed it.

Shout out to Sheila C from a co-worker -
"Sheila has worked many extra hours at Jefferson House, all the while balancing another job where she cares for other clients in need as well. Sheila goes the extra mile to make sure each client has the resources and assistance they need to make their day and overall week run orderly and smoothly. She has even regularly assisted other homes in town while formally working for Jefferson House, which sees her fitting in med passes and transportation for clients at Gardner and Chestnut House while keeping in consideration the needs and schedule of the Jefferson House clients. Sheila arrives to work early and she is as considerate of helping and working with her coworkers as she is with the clients."

September 7–13, 2025, marks National Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week, a time to highlight the critical role DSPs play in supporting individuals with disabilities and behavioral health needs to live, work, and thrive in their communities. It’s also the perfect opportunity to recognize all frontline staff, including Peer Support Professionals (PSSs), who provide essential guidance, advocacy, and lived-experience support to those navigating behavioral health challenges.

Staff Shout Out to Mike M! "Mike M does a great job serving his clients and coworkers. He is a reliable person to provide transportation to Day Hab to those clients needing a ride. Mike also does a great job finding co-workers to fill in shifts. Mike reaches out to people to make sure they are not burnt out and does a great job making sure his team is well taken care of.
