Insurance😟always a hot topic.
“Do you take my insurance?”
This can be a trick question and difficult to understand the answer. Our question to patient- Do you have a PPO or HMO plan? Explanation- PPO you have the FREEDOM to go to any clinic or practice and have YOUR choice of the provider that you prefer not a provider that the insurance company demands you go to as in an HMO plan where you MUST go to whom your insurance dictates you to go. Me personally I would rather have the power to see who I thought would best take care of my needs and who I felt more comfortable with for care.

We asked this ? when new patients call to schedule for a new exam and cleaning. “Have you had a deep cleaning in the past?”
Explanation of why we ask that question:
If you have had SRP(Scaling Root Planing)aka “Deep Cleaning” then your routine cleaning (Prophy)will not be just a regular cleaning they will be considered Perio Maintenance. This info is very important if you have dental insurance and could result in a denial of your dental claims if we do not have the dates of your SRP. 90% of the time after SRPs your cleanings will fall as Perio Maintenace.

We had the pleasure of volunteering yesterday at the East Texas Food Bank in Tyler for our TeamBuilding Day. And some of our Holly Lake Ranch friends were there also. If you have any spare time you should give them a call to volunteer. The facility is beautiful and the cause is magnificent.
