Did you know? The first modern crematory in the United States was built in 1876 by physician and philanthropist Dr. Francis LeMoyne in Washington, Pennsylvania. Before it closed in 1901, nearly 50 people had been cremated there during its 25 years of operation.

Vickie Jones Austin, a woman of quiet strength and boundless love, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, creativity, and unwavering care for those she held dear. Services will be held at Clark Funeral Home on August 23, 2025 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home at 3:30p.m. Burial will follow in the family plot at Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
