We had an amazing time at the Autism Awareness Festival connecting with families, sharing resources, and creating a fun space for kids to play and be themselves.

From face painting to hands-on activities, moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Moments like this help bridge the gap with awareness as we move together toward change! We’re grateful for every conversation, every smile, and every family that stopped by our table. 🤍

💙 Simple ways to support your child at home

Small changes can make a big difference in your child’s day to day success.

Here are a few simple strategies you can try:

• Use clear and simple language when giving directions
• Keep routines consistent to reduce stress and confusion
• Praise and reinforce positive behaviors immediately
• Give choices to encourage independence
• Break tasks into smaller, manageable steps

Every child learns differently, and support looks different for every family.

✨ Please Help Us Welcome Our New BCBA✨

We are so excited to officially welcome our newest Board Certified Behavior Analyst to the team!

She has been in the ABA field for almost 4 years and began her journey as an RBT shortly after graduating with her undergraduate degree in May 2022. Interestingly, she initially planned to become an occupational therapist and had never even heard of a BCBA! But after seeing the powerful impact of ABA, especially watching children make progress in small but meaningful ways like requesting their wants and following directions, she knew this was the path for her.

With the encouragement of a previous supervisor who introduced her to behavioral data and graph analysis, she discovered her passion for both making a difference in families’ lives and using data to guide meaningful change.

She is most passionate about helping patients find independence through whichever means of communication works best for their individual needs.

Outside of work, she enjoys:
🐶 Spending time with her toy poodle, Skylar
🍦 Indulging in milkshakes and chocolate ice cream
📺 Lounging and binge-watching TV with lots of snacks to unwind

We are so proud to have her on our team and can’t wait for the impact she will continue to make in the lives of our families. Please join us in welcoming her! 💙🧡💚

Colors for Autism was created to support children and families through individualized, in-home services, collaboration with local schools, and a clinic coming soon right here in the community.
