Does your neck hurt? Tim's too🤣

Did you know that 68% of people who work from home, or frequently on the computer, experience some sort of neck pain?? Most of the time its due to posture, stress or workplace set up. Here are some ways you can help your neck pain while working from home!!
1. Set up your computer or monitor to be at eye level. Looking down at a computer for extended periods of time will cause tightness and restriction in the neck and may cause headaches!
2. Ensure your mouse and keyboard are at an appropriate height so that you don't have to shrug your shoulders... ideally elbows at 90* and keyboard above the thighs at belly button height.
3. Take breaks! It isn't always easy but it is important for your neck/ posture to get up and walk around every hour or so even if it is for 60 seconds.

A much needed graduation has happened!!
Alessandra has been coming to see us here at Elmtree for what feels like forever! She has had multiple knee surgeries and complications following, but we have been with her every step of the way!!

Alessandra is doing SO WELL now, that she has been able to meet all of her goals and be pain free!! She has now discharged from PT altogether and has transitioned into personal training with our trainer James!!!!

Did you know that every patient who discharges from PT gets a FREE consultation appointment for personal training!

Our personal training is provided in a medically safe environment with physical therapists working closely with our trainers to help you reach whatever goals you want!! With personal training you have the freedom to work on any body part you would like, since it is not tied down by your insurance! This is a huge relief for many!

With all this hot hot hot weather, remember to drink drink drink..... WATER that is😁Yes, coffee and beer are made with water, however your body needs PURE concentrated water to replenish in this heat!! When healing, your body requires 50 to 100% more water intake than normal. This is to ensure proper cellular healing, help fight potential infections, and to replenish fluids lost due to medication intake, the list goes on and on!!

Is VERTIGO putting a big ole' bummer on your summer?? PT can help you!!
Your PT will evaluate your symptoms with special testing and figure out what areas of your vestibular/balance center needs to be improved! From there your PT will create a unique program to rehab what is weak!
PT is a tool that can be used in conjunction with eye treatment such as special glasses or medication provided from your physician or vestibular specialist.
