Sometimes the body responds better to a slower massage approach with sustained contact and careful attention rather than constant movement.

This approach can give the nervous system time to settle, allowing muscles to soften naturally and reducing the body's protective guarding response. As the body becomes less guarded, deeper patterns of tension can often be addressed with less resistance and discomfort.

Massage sessions are approached with intention, precision, and an awareness that every body responds differently.

Pain relief doesn't always have to feel aggressive to be effective.

The shoulder is complex.

Shoulder pain can be the result of tension in the surrounding areas - upper back, neck, and chest.

In midlife women, hormonal shifts can be a contributing factor and are sometimes seen alongside frozen shoulder patterns.

In my massage sessions, I work with the deeper shoulder structures -like the rotator cuff- and the surrounding areas, while also supporting the nervous system. This helps the whole body settle so movement can become easier again.

The Well Heart Massage Therapy has been invited to participate in this years “Hawthorne Health and Hope Fair” - this Saturday (April 25th) from 10am-1pm at the American Legion Post 230.

There will be free health screenings and clinical advice from healthcare professionals .

I will offer chair massage and a raffle for a FREE 60 minute Signature Massage in the new studio. See you there!

🚜There has been some serious digging going on at The Well Heart Massage Therapy in historic downtown Hawthorne. The entire length of the building is now a bump out/planter on the street front.

I am letting you know that there is ample parking around back- and it’s actually the entrance to the studio (and where you can see blooms in the garden).

🌲Thinking that new trees and plants 🪴will be installed -on the street- to provide a green view from the window upfront.

A BIG thank you to my amazing clients, for their patience, during this noisy and dusty time. Looks like we are nearing the end AND the new library opens next week. Exciting!
