The work is not easy.
I’ll be the first one to admit it. I have cried, I have screamed, I have gone deep into the darkness.
I have pulled up stories I hid long ago.
I sat with versions of myself that honestly were not too cool.
I have hugged and held past versions of myself.
I have had to be the human that I needed most of all.

With every peeled back layer came a little more light.
Every deep dive brought up a bit of relief.
I looked those old stories in the eye and I took their power, poured it back into myself.

The work is not easy.
But the reward is everything I never even dreamed of.
