Week 7 is here and a new month has arrived. May is a time to celebrate the women in our lives on Mother's Day. Memorial Day is a time that remembering, honoring, and mourning the military personnel that had died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
During this new way of life, we need to be celebrating the essential workers. The sacrifice they endure everyday facing this pandemic is cause for celebration. WE THANK YOU & ARE PROUD OF YOU!

Hello Everyone. It's week 6. Crazy to actually be saying that, but it's a sad truth. Have you counted your blessings? I mean truly counted them? By now most of us have been affected by this one way or another.

A Big part of your Physical health depends on your Mental health. The more you read about it, talk about it, watch TV or listen to the radio you are surrounding your brain with things that will most likely drag you down. Check in once a week. That is more then enough to get caught up.

Try actually having at least a day not to actually mention anything related to the events going on. It isn't easy, but it is worth it for yourself and your families Mental health.

Remember to drink plenty of water. Take deep breaths in and out throughout the day. Thank God that you have blessings to actually count. Many do not.

It's week 5. Are you sick of water yet? Then you are not drinking enough. πŸ˜‰
Your muscles need good hydration in order to work well. While sitting at home, you are more likely to snack and not drink. Every time you have a snack, have some water.
Drinking sugary drinks can make you feel less full causing you to drink more.
If you don't like water, try putting in fresh fruit to give it some flavor.
Keep you body moving. While brushing your teeth or doing the dishes, do squats, waist twists or side leg lifts. These are also simple and easy to get up and do during commercials. Have the whole family do it. Make it a contest. Who ever does the most doesn't have to ........ do the dishes for 2 days.
Be creative and have fun.
Lastly get outside to your yard and get some Vitamin D

Week 3 and Yes, my office is still closed unfortunately. It's all good; things could be worse.

Three things to keep in mind:

1- Are you hydrating? It has been said to keep mucus thinner by drinking hot beverages and lots of water.

2- Your muscles may be getting sore from lack of movement. Please remember to move. Any movement helps. Even just doing laps around your living room πŸ˜‰

3- If your muscles are in pain, feel the area. If it feels hot to the touch, move away no heat, go back to the area in pain and it's hot, use ice. Only 10 to 15 minutes on and off.

While we are all dealing with a new way of life for the time being please remember

1- Drink plenty of water
2- Your body posture is probably not the best now working from home. Remember to get up and move at least 1 time a hour.
a) do ankle rolls
b) wrist rolls
c) neck rolls
d) waist rolls
These are just a couple of things to keep doing so your joints are not getting locked up.
