Save The Date! Our fundraising gala, Candyland, will be held on November 15 at the Westchester Manor in Hastings. Dinner, Dancing, Silent Auction and more. Invitations to be mailed shortly.

Week 1 of Summer Camp 2025 is in the books! What a whirlwind — the days flew by in the best way. It was so great to be back at camp, reconnecting with familiar faces and making new friends along the way.

Hello everyone!

What an incredible weekend it was at the New York Special Olympics State Summer Games! The Knights were represented in both basketball, swimming and track & field. In an exciting twist, our basketball team earned gold in a rare three-way tie! On the track, our athletes brought home a variety of medals and awards for their individual events. In swimming, our athelete Mike swept the competition with gold medals all around! Even more exciting, one of the Hudson Valley relay teams made history by breaking an all-time record in the 4x100 relay—finishing in just 59 seconds! Huge congratulations to all the athletes, and a heartfelt thank you to our amazing coaches, Special Olympics New York, and the families who helped make this weekend possible.

Hello all,

The Spring Getaway happened this weekend in CAPE COD!! The group went whale watching, explored the beaches, tried their hand at candlepin bowling, swimming, shopping and of course indulged in some local ice cream. They also visited a fascinating American history museum and packed in even more along the way. So many great memories made! Special thanks to our clients and staff who made it an incredible weekend away!

Hello everyone!

We are back with another program recap. This weekend was FILLED with some great activities. To start, on Friday night we had one of our Friday Night Fun program which was all about MAD SCIENCE. The group make their own cloud dough, volcanoes and invisible ink! It was a great time. At Clubhouse, the crew celebrated the warm weather with their very own Hawaiian Luau! There were plenty of flowered shirts, leis, hula dancing and so much more! At Escapades the group for busy with some fitness, arts and crafts and of course baking!

To wrap up the weekend, the teens/adults headed up to West Point to compete at the Hudson Valley Regional Track and Field event. The Knights had over 45 athletes representing North East and they all took home various medals and ribbons. We are so proud of all of the these athletes and the hard work it took to get them to this competition! Special thanks to everyone at the Hudson Valley Special Olympics Office and Special Olympics New York for a great day!

We hope you have been enjoying the warm weather. Since we were off last week for the holiday last weekend, there are no program updates for at the moment! Tune in next week for a full program recap!

Hello everyone!

It's been a little time since we've updated you on our programs...

While we did have some last minute cancellations a week ago with our weekend programs, the fun did not stop there! The teens/adults were able to still enjoy a day at Blue Mountain. They did art projects, took a hike to the playground, had some S'mores and so much more! It was a great day for the adults and even the teens who got to sleep over!

At Clubhouse the kids got to singing with Miss Marlana and her guitar! They also got to celebrating Easter weekend a little early by making their own easter egg mazes! It was a fun time trying to get it from one end to another!

On Friday, we danced the night away at Nite Club! It was the last dance of the season, but don't worry, we will be back in the fall with more!

Hello everyone!

We are back with a program update! This weekend was one filled with some great activities! To start, at Clubhouse, the kids had their own Special Olympics Jr. Basketball Skills competition! All year the kid shave been working on their skills during gym, and finally got the chance to showcase their talents in front of friends and family! It was a great day. At Escapades, the group celebrated the warm weather with all spring themed crafts and activities. The Teens/Adults headed to their favorite spot... THE BRONX ZOO! It was a beautiful day to spend outside with friends and learn about animals! The fun didn't stop here. On Sunday, the Knights headed up to Marist College to compete in our regional basketball competition. North East was represented by two traditional teams and 4 skills athletes. Our skills athletes took hom various medals and BOTH teams took home the GOLD! We are so proud of all the athletes and their hard work.

We are thrilled to announce that our Floorball team has won the BRONZE MEDAL at the Special Olympics World Games! This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone for our athletes, coaches, and the entire community that has supported them throughout their journey.

The team’s hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence paid off on the world stage, as they competed against some of the best athletes from around the globe. Their dedication and sportsmanship exemplify the true spirit of the Special Olympics, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishment.

The team’s success at the Special Olympics World Games is a shining example of the power of sport to bring people together and create lasting change. We look forward to celebrating this achievement with our community and continuing to support our athletes in their future endeavors!
