Meet Cherie!

Cherie is our Director of Nursing and is trained in sonography. She began serving with Open Arms as a volunteer in December 2023 after moving to North Idaho, and joined our staff team in September 2024.

Cherie serves at Open Arms because of God’s deep love for every person. With over 30 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse, she began using her skills in pregnancy medical clinics in 2013—supporting women and their partners with compassionate care and empowering them to make informed decisions and choose life for their children.

She spent most of her adult life in Western Washington and has lived in five different states, serving in five pregnancy centers. She has three daughters and eight grandchildren, ranging in age from 12 to 23.

She is passionate about Jesus, her family, and truth. Her hobbies include connecting with people, learning apologetics, and knitting.

April is Strengthening Families Month in Idaho!

At Open Arms Real Choices Clinic, we wear blue on Wednesdays to raise awareness and stand in solidarity with the efforts to strengthen families and creating positive childhoods for all children.

We are honored to partner with the North Idaho Strengthening Families Coalition in supporting local families and promoting the safety and well-being of children in our community.

✨ Meet Dana ✨

Dana has been part of the Open Arms Real Choices Clinic family since 2012, and we are so grateful for the care and compassion she brings to our team.

Born and raised in Spokane Valley, Dana now calls Worley, Idaho home, where she and her husband, Gary, live on their farm. Together they have six children and ten grandchildren—family is truly at the heart of all she does.

When homeschooling became a priority, Dana redirected her nursing skills to care for friends and family. As the Lord continued to stir her heart for the sanctity of life, she joined Open Arms as a peer advocate and has since served faithfully as a volunteer nurse and nurse manager.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find Dana chatting with her chickens, soaking up time with her grandchildren, or baking homemade bread for those she loves.

We are thankful for Dana’s steady presence, servant heart, and dedication to supporting women and families with compassion and respect. 💙

Our Baby Bundle Program is growing, and we’re so encouraged by the families being served. Right now, we have a need for size 4 and 5 diapers and baby monitors. These items make a meaningful difference for parents who are working hard to provide a safe and stable environment for their children.
