Just four hours after my grandbaby, on the 3rd, we have an amazing rainbow baby birth. So many prayers and anticipation went into this labor and birth. God was faithful and we are so grateful for little Micah.
Mama had called during the night, so it was touch and go as to which one of the ladies would have their baby first. Both being home births, made it a bit more intense, but it worked out beautifully. We had a bit of dread afterwards when the placenta just wouldn’t let go. We were praying and packing up for a trip to the hospital and literally as we got up to go, the placenta decided to come. I think there was just as much, if not more, rejoicing over the placenta as the baby. Whew what an emotional roller coaster. We just couldn’t be more happy for this family. ❤️

Oh so late in my posts. Let’s catch up! Three boys in the last little bit.
First little man was baby number two for this mama. Both have been born here at DaySpring and she broke a streak of no Monday births for over a year. I guess it’s time to change things up. Mama rocked it and dad can’t get over these toes.

Second one had actually started before mama number one but events led us to transferring to the hospital. Gods mercy was so upon us. In the end we were where we needed to be. Baby is awesome and so sweet. We are so thankful that no matter what we have to go through to get these babies here, the reward is SO great. ❤️

After all these day births, I guess it’s time I pay my dues. Not just one night birth, but 2 in the same night. 😂
Meet this big fella, Mr Luther! His size will tell you mama had to work hard for him, but what an amazing job she did. Another boy added to this all boy family. This their first with DaySpring and it was such a privilege to serve this couple. Congratulations!!!

Finally a little girl to add to this families pack of three boys. Looks like she’s gonna be a ballerina. Such perfect timing this mama had, finished up postpartum visits, well almost 😂, and ran upstairs to have a baby during the lunch hour. Always exciting to have babies on clinic days.
This is their third baby with us and this mama just keeps getting better with each one. 💕 Fun day! Congratulations you guys. Can’t wait to see how a little girl changes your family dynamics.

Saturday morning we were blessed with beautiful home waterbirth. This one pretty dear to my heart. Grandma of this baby attended the birth of my baby girl, 25 years ago and many other births along side me.

This family is all about new life. From grandparents, aunties, uncles, and cousins, all huddled at the bottom of the staircase, the birthcenter is buzzing with joyful anticipation of that first cry. Every time there is a new addition we can expect a party. I LOVE it. This time was no different, even with the quick arrival of Miss Elva, they were there. Mama makes it look like a walk in the park and when baby arrives states, “hmmm, that wasn’t so bad.” What a joy to serve this family. For mom and dad it was number two, but all the children downstairs had also been born at DaySpring. I’ve lost track, but at least 6-7 of them. 😁💕

Not everyday we get to just go nextdoor to catch a baby. Every few years I get to do just that, so fun. Baby number 8 adding another girl to a whole line up but one. Such a sweet baby for a sweet family. I’m extremely grateful for the perfect timing. ❤️

Some babies just have a different idea of how they want to this world. Deciding late in the pregnancy to go breech and no amount of coursing would change her mind. Giving mama enough time to wrap her mind around the change of birth plans, she found peace and went into the new plan with utmost grace and strength. We are so proud of her and watched prayers and love help her welcome this sweet baby girl, safely into her arms. Congratulations family. She is beautiful.
