Many of you have been asking… and here she is! Merrie had her baby!!!! Chloe Grace made her beautiful waterbirth arrival on Sunday at DaySpring. Such a joyous day for us all. Surrounded by many family members and lots of love, baby #6 has evened the ratio of this home. ❤️❤️❤️ ❤️

Look at this face!!! This guy decided NOT to follow any pattern for mom, and he knows it, looks pretty proud about it. What a cutie! Mom had to wait a bit longer for his appearance both in days and hours of labor, but being the trooper she is, she did amazing. Well done mama.

Now the dam is broke and we are back into the swing of births. Yesterday during a busy clinic day Quintin decided to make his waterbirth appearance. Third babies can be a wild card, and he was that for mama. Nonetheless she was strong and surrendered to the process. If only we would have known that all it would take is threatening to get her out of birth tub! Not happening… and there he was 🥰. This was her second baby with DaySpring.
And now I am all caught up, as we wait for another appearance today… stay tuned.

After a month of no babies, we were excited to get this call. The excitement in the room was over the top. Of course it also helps when mama just smiles and laughs all the way through her birth. Seriously!!! It’s the best. Didn’t hurt that little Kezia was born on her mama’s birthday!!!! She was born in the water at DaySpring just like two of her three siblings. The room was filled with worship music and laughter. Such a beautiful thing to behold.

Some babies just have a mind of their own and they will decide how they should be born. This little girl decided early on in labor to flip to breach. So no more had we arrived at this couples home did we decide a field trip to the hospital is necessary. I love the way. Mom and dad were so accepting of this change of plans knowing that this is the way it must be, this time and next time will be different.

This one was very near and dear to my heart. When this mama was nine years old she became our bonus, daughter and my youngest daughter‘s best friend. Through the years they have both had five babies all of similar age. I got to deliver baby number one, four and 5. Two and three were born elsewhere in the country. But this time they made the trek all the way from Kentucky and I was ever so blessed. Baby Daniel is named for his grandpa who remains a very dear friend to me and my husband. Eleventh hour births are always fun. I was getting ready to leave town and this mama was gonna make sure I was at her birth. The morning of, thankfully, we were driving out of town. She went into labor. This beautiful boy was born at home in the water first boy after two girls, and they have all been born with DaySpring. We arrived at our destinations a few hours later than planned, but I wouldn’t have wanted to miss this beautiful Birth.

Next baby also needed the help from Sacred Heart… Mom’s water broke at 28 weeks on 4 July but she was able to keep him in until 34 weeks. Lucas is strong and another absolute miracle for this wonderful family.

Although we were able to take care of this mama, we knew this baby had to be born at Sacred Heart. Bennie is here safe and sound and we are blessed to have medical community when needed. Love this mama, she made many sacrifices to meet her baby boy.
