She came to Open Arms Real Choices Clinic as a model for our nurses’ annual ultrasound certification training. It was her first pregnancy, and she didn’t consider herself to be in eligible for our services.
But she still needed help getting started.
Without insurance and already entering her second trimester, she wasn’t sure how to begin prenatal care. During her visit, we provided proof of pregnancy documentation, prenatal vitamins, and a limited obstetric ultrasound reviewed by our Medical Director. We also connected her with an insurance navigator and welcomed her and her husband into Parenting Education classes.
What began as a training appointment became connection, support, and access to care.

Originally from Spokane, Becky moved to Hayden in 2004 with her husband. They have two adult children and have loved being part of the North Idaho community for many years.

As a Staff Advocate, Becky provides one-on-one support to clients during their appointments. She offers encouragement, answers questions, and helps connect clients to resources as they navigate their pregnancy decisions.

Becky is passionate about making sure every person who walks through our doors feels heard, respected, and supported.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, creating art, and connecting with friends and family.

Since 2001, Open Arms Pregnancy Care Center & Real Choices Clinic has been offering physical, emotional and spiritual assistance to women and men facing unexpected pregnancies. Our services include pregnancy testing, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, options counseling, and parenting classes. All of our services are free and confidential. We also have a boutique with new baby clothes, as well as a wide selection of gently-used clothing. We uniquely offer small-group support for those seeking freedom from the pain of a past abortion experience. Open Arms is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, supported by private donations.
