Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center -

Rainbow Center is a non-profit organization which provides therapeutic equestrian activities to individuals with physical, emotional or developmental challenges. The Rainbow Center operates under the guidelines of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH).

Mother Nature didn't look kindly on us last weekend, so we've rescheduled SERVICE SUNDAY to this weekend, Sunday, 14th September.

If you're looking for a great way to give back and do something for others, why not join us and help paint our paddock fences from 10am - 2pm. Pizza and soft drinks will be provided!

If you have the time and inclination to come along and help us, we'd love to see you, so get in touch with us at volunteercoordinator@rainbowriding.org and we'll get right back to you!

No horse experience required - just a willingness to lend a hand!

Congratulations to our August Volunteer of the Month, Gray! Thank you for everything you do for us and our students - we really couldn't do it without you!

If you'd like to join Rainbow as a volunteer for our Fall session which starts next week, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Marissa at volunteercoordinator@rainbowriding.org OR simply complete a quick application form at our website https://www.rainbowriding.org/volunteer-application-form and we'll be in touch!

There's no need for horse experience as full training will be given, and our volunteers work to a flexible schedule to suit them between Tuesday - Saturday.

If you have a couple of hours per week to spare, we'd love you to join our Rainbow family!

You may have spotted our Rainbow cover stars Marissa, Maddie, and Shane on the newsstands this month Rainbow appears on the front of this month's Haymarket Gainesville Lifestyle Magazine!

We were honored to be named the best equestrian facility in the area and then to have the magazine dedicate four pages to our wonderful staff, students, and of course, very photogenic horses!

Join us in celebrating Miss Ashley's birthday today! Ashley has been a long standing volunteer at Rainbow and is now training to become a certified therapeutic riding instructor! Hope you have a wonderful day, Ashley!

In this month's BEHIND THE BARN DOOR, we focus on Sharon Cavallaro, a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor who brings a whole lot more to Rainbow than just her horse skills, as any of her students and their families can attest.

Sharon is also a Licensed Special Educator and Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in working with individuals with Autism and developmental delays. She combines her skills in all these areas to create programs that help her students improve their executive function, motor skills, and communication, verbal or non-verbal.

When she’s not at Rainbow, Sharon loves spending time with her family, swimming, hiking, and hopping on a horse when she can. Sharon joined Rainbow three years ago as a volunteer and qualified as a CTRI last year.

It's a wrap on our ROCK Kayak Camps for this summer and what a fantastic time we've all had! Students of all ages and abilities have come together to learn new skills and have fun on the water, supervised by our team of specially trained staff and volunteers. Huge shout out to everyone who helped make it possible, especially Richard and Meg for sharing some fishing skills with our campers! Here's to next year!

From 10am - 12noon each Friday, our team of FIX-IT FRIENDS have been helping around the farm with everything from gardening and painting, to fence fixing and barn repairs.
