Bridge to Balance LLC

Bridge to Balance LLC Counseling gives you professional assistance to sort through and respond to life’s changes and to put you back on track to achieve your personal goals.

Life is a series of crossroads. As we travel on our individual journeys we will experience challenges, disappointments, and changes. These life-changing experiences can occur within our current relationships, past hurts, traumatic events, occupations, and even from within ourselves. When these challenges occur, life can become unbalanced; bringing confusion and dissatisfaction. When certain aspects of our life feel broken, life can feel as if we are drowning. Often times we just need a little help; some assistance to heal and face these challenges head on. We believe that balance is essential to living life to the fullest. Finding, creating, and maintaining balance in one’s daily routine aides in building and strengthening confidence, enables focus, helps us invest in our relationships, allows us to cope with stress more effectively, and raises our self-esteem. We are committed to helping you build bridges allowing you and your loved ones to find balance in our changing lives.

🌿 Find Peace in the Quiet Moments 🌿

Life moves fast, and it’s easy to get caught up in the noise around us. But sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is simply pause.

“God’s love whispers in the quiet moments—pause, breathe, and let it restore you.”

Take a few deep breaths today. Step away from your to-do list. Sit in the stillness, even if just for a moment. Allow His love to remind you that you are not alone—and that restoration often comes in these small, gentle pauses.

💛 Your mind, body, and spirit deserve this care. Let today be a reminder to slow down and trust the process of healing.

✨ Tip for today: Find 5–10 minutes to unplug, pray, meditate, or simply enjoy a quiet moment with a warm cup of tea or coffee.

❄️ Feeling the Winter Blues? You’re Not Alone! ❄️

The weeks between New Year’s and spring can feel long, cold, and a little heavy. Shorter days, chilly weather, and post-holiday letdowns can all take a toll on our mood.

Here are a few gentle ways to lift your spirits and stay balanced until spring:
🌞 Light it up – Open blinds, go outside when the sun is out, or try a light therapy lamp.
🏃‍♀️ Move your body – Even a short walk or gentle stretching can boost your energy and mood.
💛 Practice self-care – Take time for quiet, journaling, a warm bath, or a favorite hobby.
🤝 Connect with others – Call a friend, join a group, or reach out to your support system.
🥗 Nourish yourself – Focus on whole foods, hydration, and small, healthy routines.

Remember, it’s okay to feel down sometimes—small steps toward wellness make a big difference over time. You don’t have to wait for spring to feel a little brighter. 🌱

✨ Welcome to Bridge to Balance, Joshua! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Joshua to the Bridge to Balance team as a Resident in Counseling. Joshua earned his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University (September 2025) and practices under the supervision of Kristi Gibney, LPC.

With a professional background in IT and Big 4 consulting, Joshua brings a clear, structured approach to therapy—while remaining deeply human, present, and relational. He has a special heart for people who appear “high functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck on the inside.

Joshua works with adults and couples, including executive and faith-based clients, who may be experiencing:

Anxiety that lives in the body

Constant overthinking and mental noise

Low mood, fatigue, or loss of motivation

Panic, irritability, or emotional numbness

Burnout, perfectionism, and people-pleasing

Difficulty setting boundaries without guilt

Repeating relationship patterns

Shame, self-doubt, and a harsh inner critic

His work is clinically grounded and depth-informed, focusing not just on symptom relief but on meaningful, lasting change. Together, clients explore patterns, triggers, attachment dynamics, cognitive distortions, and emotional regulation—moving toward integration, stability, and a life aligned with their values.

For clients who desire it, Joshua offers faith-integrated counseling, honoring both psychological science and biblical truth. He often draws on the concept of metanoia—a true change of mind—as a practical, lived process of renewing thought patterns and building life-giving responses.

Above all, Joshua believes healing happens within a safe, consistent therapeutic relationship—a space where you can be fully honest, deeply understood, and gently challenged.

If you’re ready to stop managing symptoms and start addressing patterns, Joshua would be honored to walk alongside you.
