Today is National Rural Health Day, and this year feels extra special! 🌾

Just yesterday, we announced our official partnership with Gove County Medical Center, a major step toward strengthening rural healthcare in Kansas.

Across the country, rural hospitals face significant financial and operational challenges, and in Kansas, more than half are at risk of closure. At HaysMed, we’re meeting these challenges head-on. Through strong partnerships with Gove County Medical Center, Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, specialty clinics in Great Bend and Dodge City, outreach locations and telehealth options across Kansas, we work every day to preserve access to high-quality, local care.

The Fitness Trail is open!
We’re excited to share that the newly improved HaysMed section of the fitness trail is now open. The trail has been widened to 8 feet and now extends north, connecting all the way to Sternberg Museum of Natural History, perfect for walkers, runners, and outdoor enthusiasts!

Thank you for your patience during construction as we worked to enhance this community space. Grab your walking shoes and enjoy the new and improved trail today!

HaysMed Hospice invites you to celebrate the memory of someone special with a brass dove ornament on our Community Memory Tree. For a $20 donation, your loved one’s name will be engraved and displayed on a beautifully decorated tree at Entrance C.

💬 “Each dove represents a story, a memory, and a connection that continues,” says Sarah Dreiling, Clinical Care Coordination Director at HaysMed. “The Community Memory Tree is a gentle reminder that even in times of loss, love endures.”
