We are excited to announce the other half the the Dr. Buhrle duo has joined Riverside Chiropractic!

Dr. Matt Buhrle is from Russell, Kansas, and brings unique expertise to Riverside Chiropractic & Physical Therapy. He is currently one of only two clinicians in Kansas to hold both an active Athletic Trainer and Chiropractor license.

His passion for sports medicine began in high school after spending a significant amount of time recovering from sports-related injuries. He pursued his athletic training education at Fort Hays State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in May 2021. Wanting to expand his scope of practice, Dr. Buhrle attended chiropractic school at Cleveland University-Kansas City.

While in graduate school, he worked part-time as an Athletic Trainer for Children’s Mercy Hospital and Overland Park Regional Medical Center, providing coverage for high school, middle school, and youth club athletics in the Kansas City metro area. After graduating from chiropractic school in December 2024, he returned to Hays to join his wife, Dr. Cheyenne Buhrle, PT, DPT at Riverside Chiropractic & Physical Therapy. He now also works as the Athletic Trainer for Plainville Athletics.

Dr. Buhrle is excited to offer general family wellness, sports chiropractic, and athletic training services to the people of Hays and the surrounding areas!

Did you know, Dr. Uehling helped Dr. Buhrle make it to the state track meet her senior year of high school?!

Picture it: Plainville, Kansas - May, 2017
It’s regionals. As women’s pole vault is going on, it starts raining. People’s hands start slipping, their uniforms are drenched, and bars are missed. It comes down to a jump off. Cheyenne’s hands WOULD NOT stay put, she was freaking out. Then, Dr. Uehling had the idea to reverse tape her pole so that the sticky part was facing out. Low and behold (along with an insane amount of chalk), IT WORKED! She cleared the bar and made it to state for the 4th and final time of her high school career!! It was truly a team effort that day and now, years later, they’re a team again!

Meet the new addition to our team:
- Dr. Cheyenne Buhrle, PT, DPT!

Dr. Buhrle is no stranger to western Kansas. She grew up in WaKeeney and graduated from Fort Hays State University. She then went on to the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Dr. Buhrle is proud to join the Riverside team and provide her PT services to the people of Hays and the surrounding areas!

Dr. Buhrle holds the follow certifications:
- Level 1 Pelvic Floor
- Level 1 Dry Needling
- Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (IN PROGRESS)
