We picked Roberta Rae up last weekend after she had spent a month with Mark DeCoudres/Broken Spokes Clydesdales being started/trained. Now its up to us to put more miles on her. We put her with John today and went in the pasture then down the road. She did very well and we want to thank Mark and his crew for taking time out of their busy schedule to get Roberta started. Get out and enjoy this cool fall weather. May God bless you all with His grace and peace.

These three want to know if you're going to the Kansas State fair!? Last day for the Draft show, but there are other events running all week. Check them out too.

I need to clarify...we did not go and show this year, we went to watch and enjoy. Caught up with some friends which is always a blessing.

The Kansas State fair starts Friday, Sept 5th and that's the same day the Kansas Draft Horse and Mule show starts...at noon. The show goes thru Sunday, Sept 7th. This is a good time to meet and see what these big horses can do. From halter classes, cart and hitch classes, youth driving classes, costume class, riding classes and obstacle courses. Its just a great time to see the talent inside and outside the arena. What better place to be than in a barn with sights, sounds and smells of some big horses and friendly, hospitable owners ready to answer question and talk "horse". So come on out to the Kansas State Fair Draft Horse and Mule show!! Its a great family event. Maybe well see you there.

What a beautiful day to end a rather "challenging " work week. We all have them, but the Lord gives us the grace to persevere to the end. The geldings have had their feed and are sipping some fresh cool water...we went and enjoyed the "other" stock tank with a cold, tasty, red Budweiser. We want to enjoy the stock tank while it's still REALLY clean cause next year it might be being used by livestock. Hope everyone had a good week, enjoy the weekend, it could rain and sounds like there's a cool down coming. Thanks for checking in with us, God bless.

Meet the boys club...love it when they are standing at the fence/drive when I get home from work. There's Gunnar with all his white, John with all his bay coloring and black front foot, Valor the younger Clydesdale and last, Willie the half blood bay. If I walk to the fence, they jockey around trying to get attention in the form of pats n scratches. John, being the "leader" pushes his weight and size around to get the most...of anything!! Feed, hay, water, attention... Grass is looking a little dry in the back ground so pray for rain!! Have a blessed day...cheers

Finally get Ezra and Abby out of the weaning pen and out to a bigger area to run, stomp and grow. They are chummy and don't go anywhere with out the other. Its fun watching them grow and change. Praying 🙏 for rain so they can have more grass to eat. God bless you and give you peace. Cheers... 🌼🌻🌺🌴

We had a blast today meeting some new friends. This morning Sydney introduced us to her parents, Ben and Rachel and one of her brothers Noah. They got the full Clydesdale experience...meeting the "herds", brushing down horses, harnessing, taking "training" cart rides, rinsing horses and harness down, unharnessing, wiping down horses and putting them back out to pasture. It was a full and fun morning "horsin' around!"

Here's hoping you all had a full and fun weekend, too. God is so good, take in His universe. Peace n cheers...

We'll be at the Ellis County Fair on Weds July 16th, Thurs July 17th and Fri July 18th giving carriage rides from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Come out to take in the livestock shows, midway activities, Fair food, other activities and us...giving rides. Look forward to seeing you there.@

Blessed Sunday to all...hope you're taking time to rest. These past couple of weeks we have been working with our weanlings, Ezra and Abby. We have a young lady interested in coming to assist and have enjoyed her help. Sydney, is leading around Abby...she is also pictured evening up the belly trim job with the clippers.

Michael is leading around Ezra and later he worked on their feet, cleaning them out, trimming some hoof off and just handling them. The more we work and handle them, and gain their trust, the better they will be when we show and share them with the public.
Well, enjoy your Sunday, it's a great way to start a week, rested and thankful. We thank you all for sharing with us. Peace be with you.

Streets were teaming with kids picking up candy. The float in front of us was...tossing out water balloons 🎈 It's summer ☀️ and a cool, wet splash might feel good. It's fun to get the team out and be in the parade. Paradise Creek Parade in Plainville was the place to be today. Afterwards we went to the Knights hall for a Reif Family reunion. Lots of good eatin', talkin', laughin', and catchin' up. Thank you Lord for family. Be blessed....cheers
