CPT Houghton (BN XO) Sarah Carlson , it's bittersweet to see you go, but we couldn't be more excited for you as you embark on the AGR program! Your leadership and dedication as our XO have been invaluable. We've all learned so much from you, and your impact on the battalion will definitely be felt. It's never easy saying goodbye, especially to families as wonderful as the Stitchers Shelby Stitcher , the Kellums and the Tervorts. As you all embark on your new Permanent Change of Station (PCS) adventures, please know you'll be deeply missed here.

You've all contributed so much to our community, creating lasting memories and friendships that we'll cherish. We're sad to see you go, but we're also incredibly excited for the new opportunities and experiences that await you.

Yesterday Soldiers from the 388th and 391st volunteered their time on Veteran’s day with the students of both bright minds academy locations here in Hays! We showed the kids some of the equipment we use and wear as well as showcasing the wrecker and HMMWV, and topped it off with some PT 💪🏼💪🏼 this was such a fun experience!! We have a great team here and had an amazing time getting to share the Army with hopefully some future Soldiers

VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM
How to Guide for Volunteers
STEP #1 ACCESS/ REGISTRATION FOR THE VMIS SITE
1. Create an AFWP account and register for VMIS: https://vmis.armyfamilywebportal.com
2. Click on REGISTER for a new account.
3. Enter the required information Email, Confirm Email, Password and Confirm Password. Then click register.
4. Next you will receive and automated E-mail with a link and a token number.
5. Select the link in the e-mail to verify account.
6. On the page that appears, enter the e-mail address and the token number provided in the automated e-mail.
7. Select verify E-mail.
8. Once your AFWP registration is complete, you will need to create your volunteer profile.
9. Select Log-in from the VMIS Home Page.
10. Enter you AFWP E-mail and Password into the respective fields on the Log-in page.
11. When you log-in for the first time, you will need to create your volunteer profile.
STEP #2 APPLY FOR A POSITION
1. Select the Opportunity tab from left side of page.
2. Enter the position you are interested in the Search by title block.
3. On the bottom of the Position detail page SELECT the APPLY button.
4. An e-mail will be sent to the Organization Point of Contact (OPOC) located at where you will volunteer. The OPOC must approve your application in VMIS before you can begin logging volunteer hours.
LOGING YOUR HOURS
Hours must be entered in VMIS by the 5th of every month for the previous month to ensure certified by the 10th.
Hours are certified by the (OPOC)
1. Log on to https://vmis.armyfamilywebportal.com
2. Select Log-in from the VMIS Home Page. Enter E-mal and password.
3. Select Service Log on the service log page.
4. Go to the Position tab and select position you are volunteering for.
5. Next Select day of volunteer date and enter Hours and minutes with and submitter notes.
6. Select Submit
OPOC will certify your hours.
