Introducing our 2024 Miss Dickenson County Fair, Jenni Boardwine. 👑
My name is Jenni Boardwine, and I am honored to be your 2024 Miss Dickenson County Fair! Being from Southwest Virginia makes this title so special to me. I am a 2024 graduate of Eastside High School, and a current freshman at Emory & Henry University where I am a cheerleader. I was honored to receive the Bonner Scholarship at E&H, based on my extensive community service. This scholarship will provide me with opportunities to study abroad, as well as to be able to serve my region in a volunteer capacity. I plan to obtain my bachelor’s degree from E&H, and then pursue my master’s degree to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
I began my own platform, Popping Hunger, at only 12 years old. To date, I am proud to say I have donated over 25,000 items such as non-perishable food and hygiene items, clothing, and more, to homeless shelters, schools, blessing boxes, and nursing homes here in Southwest Virginia. During my reign as Miss Dickenson County Fair, I plan to continue my efforts.
I am humbled to represent beautiful Dickenson County and its wonderful people at Miss Virginia Association of Fairs in January. Miss VAF is truly a prestigious title, and I hope you will follow me on my journey.
