At La Familia, women are a driving force behind the care, compassion, and leadership that make our work possible. From frontline staff and clinicians to advocates, community leaders, and the women we serve, their dedication strengthens families and uplifts entire communities.

For five decades, La Familia has worked alongside our community to provide high-quality mental health and support services to individuals and families across the Bay Area, advancing wellness, opportunity, and social justice for all. ()

We here honored to have many community partners from fellow organizations, Alameda County, ,and the Board of Supervisors, join us for a special ribbon cutting ceremony that celebrated some incredible new renovations and expansions to our site. 🏠

As we mentioned in our opening remarks this facility and work being accomplished by our residents goes beyond just themselves, but trickles into their families, relationships, and our broader communties. 🌺

This Black History Month, La Familia honors the powerful impact of Black leaders, visionaries, and change-makers whose strength, brilliance, and perseverance continue to shape our world.

We celebrate those who stood boldly for justice, poured into their communities, and opened doors for generations to come. Their legacy reminds us that real change is rooted in collective action, shared purpose, and the courage to move forward even when the path isn’t easy.

Today, La Familia honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the values he championed; justice, equity, dignity, and service to community. We are proud to uphold these same values in our work every day as we strive to build stronger, more inclusive communities.
