Every semester, Tamarack Health is fortunate to benefit from the generosity and caring of the Hayward High School Advanced Health Class’ donation of fleece blankets for patients receiving chemotherapy and pediatric surgical patients. The fleece is purchased with donations made to the Infusion Department and by Mrs. VonArb, Advanced Health teacher.

We are excited to share Spooner Health's announcement of our partnership to expand primary care services in their community. They will be breaking ground on a new addition that will include a primary care clinic, jointly owned by Tamarack Health and Spooner Health.

Stay tuned for progress updates and announcements about this new addition and expanded service, anticipated to open in June 2027.

The Alliance has been hard at work bringing together powerful youth voices for The Truth About Ni****ne: Youth Voices Tell All on April 27.

We’re especially proud to have three incredible students from Northwest Wisconsin stepping up to lead the conversation—two from Northwestern Middle School and one from Superior High School.

These students will be sharing real experiences, shedding light on how to***co and ni****ne impact their generation, and helping drive change.

To recognize Earth Day and Arbor Day, Tamarack Health staff are coming together for a dedicated community clean up from April 22 - May 22. We are proud to play a role in keeping our neighborhoods, parks, and waterways healthy and beautiful for all to enjoy. Thanks for helping out by always using designated trash cans and recycling bins and if you are at a park, beach or nature area, carry your waste out with you. .

Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center will begin temporary trail closures on April 20, 2026, due to planned forest management work near the hospital trails.

Crews will thin red pine trees south of Indian School Lake and remove small areas of diseased trees to improve forest health and reduce pest spread.

Tamarack Health joins the nation in recognizing April as Donate Life Month to help raise awareness about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation, and to encourage people to become donors. This recognition month is also to honor those who have saved lives by donating.

Meet Ethan Smith, a Physician Assistant who works with the orthopedic surgery team at Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center. He is dedicated to helping patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy.

Ethan works closely with surgeons and care teams to provide personalized treatment plans and support patients throughout their orthopedic care journey. He enjoys working with athletes and has a strong passion for helping people achieve their goals to get back to the doing what they love.
