Last Tuesday's National Night Out in Rice Lake, Cameron and Bloomer was a fantastic success. Marshfield Clinic employees connected with families, shared injury prevention information, and handed out nearly 75 bike helmets and caring for community t-shirts at the Rice Lake site to local kids. The event brought together EMTs from the three communities, and included helmet fittings and giveaways for children, ambulance tours, fall prevention education for all ages and a bike raffle in Rice Lake and Bloomer.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign held on the first Tuesday of August nthat aims to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. It's a night for neighbors to connect with each other and with local police, often through block parties, cookouts, and other community events. The goal is to strengthen partnerships, improve communication, and enhance neighborhood safety.
