When you have suffered a loss of a family member or someone that you care about, the holiday season in general particularly the first holiday season, can be overwhelming. Our Holiday Remembrance Service is designed to help you navigate this process by providing a good old-fashioned activity, refreshments, and fellowship.

Join us and create an ornament. We provide the supplies necessary for you to create a holiday ornament that you can either take it home for your own tree, or place it on the Lone Tree Cemetery Tree. We will also provide the holiday music, refreshments and a few thoughts and words. Come share an afternoon of fellowship with us in attempt to ease into this holiday season.

At 3 PM we will have our tree lighting and proudly display all of the work that you have done. Our Holiday Remembrance Service will take place on Saturday afternoon, December 13th at 2 PM.

Please join us for our Veterans Celebration. Hosted by the Ohlone Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) on Sunday November 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the William D. Hayward Amphitheater inside of Lone Tree Cemetery. 24591 Fairview Ave., Hayward, CA. 94542.

The cemetery will be proudly displaying its Patriotic style. There will be speakers and a flower wreath procession and placement. After the program, light refreshments will be served.

Help us honor those who provided us with the freedoms that we enjoy in our great nation.

Please join us for our Dia de los Mu***os event on Sunday November 2nd , 2025 from 12pm-4pm at the William D. Hayward Amphitheater, located inside Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave. Hayward, CA 94542.

This is another free community event brought to you by Lone Tree Cemetery Association.

We are celebrating Dia De Los Mu***os, providing a celebration, entertainment and education for the entire family!

Enjoy the authentic Altar displayed in the amphitheater created to visit and celebrate your loved ones that have passed away.

Diego Marcial Rios will be holding a Sugar Skulls Workshop from 12pm-1pm- You can actually make your own personal Sugar Skull!!

Rosa Castillo will share the significance of the Altar, and answer any questions, in a presentation from 1pm-1:30pm

Face Painting from 1pm-4pm

From 1pm to 4pm we will also have:
Mariachi music provided by Mariachi Halcones de Oakland!

Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno - Traditional Dances from Mexico in honor of "Dia de Mu***os" celebration.

Taco Bar from 2pm-4pm while supplies last!

Please join us for our Harvest Festival on Saturday October 25th, 2025 from 11 AM-2 PM around the main office inside Lone Tree Cemetery. 24591 Fairview Ave. Hayward, CA 94542.

From 11 AM to 2 PM we will have:

Trunk or treat (trick or treat at the cemetery!) A controlled and safe trick or treat event.

Take home a free pumpkin from our pumpkin patch (one pumpkin per family while supplies last)

And we will have jump houses for the children to work off some of that candy inspired energy!

Lone Tree Cemetery Association is hosting another "Trunk or Treat" event in association with our Harvest Festival. We are looking for individuals or groups that would like to be a "trunk" at our event.
In an effort to promote a "Safe Halloween" community event.

People decorate their trunks with a theme, and hand out candy to our community children as they visit each trunk. This event is during the day, and in the safety of our cemetery.

We also have bouncy houses and a pumpkin patch where each family gets a complementary pumpkin (while supplies last)

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with Chamber members, and learn what the Hayward Chamber of Commerce is all about.

Many times when we lose a loved one they leave a lifetime of documentation that needs to be securely disposed of.

We also recognize that more people then ever are working from home and might need to purge some secure documents from the last few years.

Regardless of the reason we look forward to helping those who need to dispose of documents securely and confidentially with a FREE shred event !! That's right, there is no charge to shred your stuff!!

Bring all those papers that you need to get rid of and watch as they are shredded right before your eyes, securely to ensure your privacy.

This is a popular event. Last year the truck filled up to the brim at about 1:50 PM.

We look forward to seeing you on August 16th from 11am-2pm (or until the truck is full!)

Lone Tree Cemetery Association invites you to enjoy our second and final Concert of Remembrance of the 2025 season. Saturday August 9th, 2025 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the William D. Hayward Amphitheater, located inside Lone Tree Cemetery. Remember, this is a FREE community event!!!

Concerts of Remembrance are intended to provide comfort and ease to those who may be missing someone. Some people find that music is a great outlet.

For the first time we are featuring Patti Weiss and Friends Bluegrass Band! Bring your selves, snacks, beverages and your memories to enjoy some classic rock and roll. It's a great way to spend an afternoon.

Come join us for a walk through History!!

Lone Tree Cemetery is partnering with the Hayward Area Historical Society to bring you an amazing walking tour! Learn about the local legends and famous people that are buried at Lone Tree Cemetery.

There is over 150 years of history to explore, and the Hayward Area Historical Society has worked very hard to bring it to you in concentrated doses!!

The tour starts at 10:30 AM on Saturday March 22nd, 2025. Wear comfortable walking shoes!

Lone Tree Association is pleased to present this month's Movie of Remembrance, Disney's "Frozen.”

The movie will be shown Friday, July 11th, 2025 at 8:30pm, in the William D. Hayward Amphitheater.

Unlike the drive-in movies we offered in the past, this year we are using our amphitheater for this event.

Bring blankets to sit on or snuggle with, and perhaps a low back beach chair to put over the benches.

This is a FREE cinematic event intended on connecting our community through a unique, family style experience, making people feel more at ease when they visit Lone Tree Cemetery.

"Frozen" is a Disney children’s movie that tells the story of two princesses, Elsa and Anna, in the kingdom of Arendelle. When their kingdom becomes trapped in perpetual winter, fearless Anna joins forces with mountaineer Kristoff and his reindeer sidekick to find Anna's sister, Snow Queen Elsa, and break the icy spell. It has some especially mature themes presented through AMAZING animation and music that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

We want to embrace the diversity of our community by offering this event.

We respect everyone’s opinion and understand that people celebrate life differently; some enjoy contemporary events like this one, while others may prefer more somber reflection.
