We are proud to announce that we are the FIRST in the state to launch an Apprenticeship Peer Support Specialist (PPS) program with the UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health! 🎉

Becoming the first registered apprenticeship program in Kentucky shows that we are not only invested in our clients’ recovery, but also in the growth and success of our staff. 💙

Glenda is a true trailblazer in the fight against addiction in Eastern Kentucky. With over 40 years of dedicated public service—including decades of leadership with the Knott County Health Department, 16 years with the Knott & Magoffin County Drug Court Program, and as the founding force behind the Knott Drug Abuse Council—Glenda has spent her life fighting for our people, our families, and our future.

Her impact across the region is legendary, and we couldn’t be more excited that she’s bringing that same passion and leadership to Beacons of Hope.
