Today we had so much fun! Corney Twists did a balloon show for our residents and they were all so tickled. The residents loved the Jr twister, as he was the hit of the show for most. We cant wait to have them come see us again.

In February, Linda's life changed in an instant after surviving a devastating house explosion. She sustained multiple traumatic injuries that left her non weight bearing on both lower extremities and dependent for even the simplest daily tasks. After a long hospital stay and inital rehab in a swing bed facility, she was transferred to our facility in April - still unable to walk or stand. Linda DID NOT give up!

Her unwavering determination and support of the physical and occupational therapy teams, she worked tirelessly through months of gait training, total body strengthening, balance training and ADL training.

In June, she was released to bear weight through her legs and her progress took off! Today, Linda is walking household distances, climbing stairs, and completing her self care routine with independence. She is no longer requiring physical assistance for her ambulation or self care.

Her journey has been nothing short of both inspiring and amazing. We are so proud of her hard work and resilience, being honored to have been a part of her journey to recovery.

Linda has now returned home to live with her daughter. Help us celebrate her amazing progress and return home.

Who are we?

Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center is a recently-renovated 200 bed care facility located in beautiful Perry County, Kentucky. Our Medicaid and Medicare certified facility features 24 hour nursing and physician services, as well as pharmacy, lab, and radiology services. Our services are catered to residents who may require either long-term care, or a short-term rehabilitation stay to regain health and mobility. Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center takes pride in being able to offer high quality care, in a home like environment. We strive to provide our residents a high quality of life experience during their stay. Our facility welcomes visitors and our caring, professional staff will be glad to answer any questions regarding our services.
