Here’s a simple, effective way to load the patellar tendon safely using leg extensions. We like to do these unilaterally. Be sure to use resistance that does not cause pain!

Low back pain with nerve irritation requires more than stretching or rest. It needs targeted treatment.

In this session, he is undergoing a lumbosacral dry needling protocol to address disc-related nerve root irritation, which causes symptoms similar to sciatica in his leg.
We target the multifidi, QL, and hip flexors to address deep tightness, reduce inflammation, and calm the irritated nerves.

Finally, we reinforce the progress with core and deep lumbar muscle training to build long-term strength and prevent flare-ups.
