Luzmery Lopez, age 62, of Hazleton, died Friday May 23rd, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest.
She was born in Barranquilla, Columbia, the daughter of the late Vincente and Julia (Yurizo) Florillol. Surviving are her husband Ildefonso Lopez and children: Israel Florillo, Angel Rodriguez, Reese Lopez, Maria Miranda, Isaias Lopez, Heriberto Lopez, MKenzie Lopez, Elizabeth Lopez, Mia Lopez.

Dale R. Stroup, 82, of Hazleton passed away April 16th at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton. He was born in Bloomsburg son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Carson) Stroup.

Prior to retiring he was employed by ITG Ci**rs, McAdoo, Pa.

He is preceded in death by his sisters: Bonnie Fisher and Shelva Weaver.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Kathryn (Sedor) Gehers, a son Dale Stroup Jr., stepdaughter Carol Mutchler and her husband Jerry of Danville, 3 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Raymond Stroup, Larry Stroup, Sandy Gale, Lonnie Stroup, Larue Stroup, Gail Thomas, Peggy Shoemaker, Darla Pfahler, Jewel Thomas and Ginger Stroup and several nieces and nephews.

Michael Vincent Krouse, age 70 of Hazleton, passed away Sunday evening January 19th at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, he was the sone of the late Michael Francis and Gertrude Helen (Skurla) Krouse. Michael was a lifelong resident of the Hazleton-Drums area. He was a 1973 graduate of Hazleton High School, where he enrolled in the Air Force ROTC program, as well as a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He then graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics, Oklahoma, where he became a pilot. Michael was very well loved by all his family and friends, and was an animal lover, sports car and sci-fi enthusiast.
Michael was a certified Phlebotomist, and a 1984 Alumni of Luzerne County Community College. He also served in the Navy.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents, was a sister: Mary Victoria Carter. Michael was a member of Good Shepherd R.C. Church, Drums.
Surviving are his brother: Steven Krouse and wife: Lisa, and their children Arielle, Stevie, Alex, and Athena Krouse, all of Nanticoke, Pa. Two additional nieces Christine Kovalick, Hazleton, and Wendy Swiech and husband Daniel: Drums, Pa. Several cousins both in the U.S.A. and Slovakia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service with the Rite of Commital on Tuesday January 28th, at 1:00pm in Chapel at Calvary Cemetery where Michael will be interred next to his sister and parents. Arrangements under the direction of the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. Hazleton.

Joseph Alex Leggo, 45, of Hazleton passed away January 3rd at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Berwick son of Robert T. and Theresa J (Zapotosky) Leggo of Hazleton.
He was a graduate of Bishop Hafey High School, Mt St. Mary's University and Penn State University. He was Vice President of UBU Clothing, Forty Fort.
He is survived in addition to his parents by his wife the former Tiffany Bistrek, his son Joseph Robert Leggo, at home, a sister Bonnie Leggo and her husband Jess Cisneros, Wisconsin, his niece Mattie Cisneros, sister-in-law Shaina Bistrek and his In-Laws Robert and Cheryl Bistrek, Hazleton. Joseph was a friend to all and leaves behind many friends and extended family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. and a Celebration of Life Service will be held for Family and Friends at a later time to be announced. Condolences can be sent to the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home page to the family of Joseph Leggo.

James J. Marcinko, 68, of Hazleton passed away Friday evening at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Lanexa, Virginia son of the late Charles and Lenore Reimiller.
He was last employed by Fold-Pak (West Rock) from which he retired after 24 years.
He is preceded in death by his sister: Karen Reimiller, a brother Howard (Chickie) Reimiller and Stephanie Karmonick.
He is survived by the love of his life Carol Karmonick, with whom he lived with since 1990, her children: Pamela Dudinyak and her husband Mark, Stephen Greg Karmonick and is wife Jamie, his sisters: Nanette Mayza and her husband Peter, Janice Nensteil and her Husband Dave, a sister-in-law, Veronica Reimiller and nephews: Chris Reimiller, Dave Nensteil, nieces Wendy Reed and Amber Carrado. Also, James was Mr. Jim to "his" grandchildren: Jessica, Ashley, Matthew, Jordan, Hailey, Alex, Brayden, Caleb, Anastasiah and Chase James.
Jim enjoyed fishing, especially with his longtime best friend, Thomas (Sid) Cessaro, cooking, especially for family members and special occasions and spending time with his beloved dog, Kid.
Friends and relatives call on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Monday morning in Holy Rosary Church. Internment at Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Brian A. Brotzman, 44, of Hazleton passed away July 25th from injuries received at his place of employment. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Mary Spohr.
He was employed at the Atlantic Carbon Group, Stockton Mt. Road, Hazle Twp.
He was preceded in death in addition to his mother by the following brothers and sisters: Clayton Spohr III, Cheryl Spohr and Steven Spohr.
He is survived by his brother and sister: Agnes Deroa, West Hazleton, Shawn Brotzman and his wife Justine, Hazleton and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Saturday August 3rd from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. with services at 3:00pm. Interment will be at the convenience of the family

John J. Bergin, 80, of Hazleton passed away Tuesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hazleton Hospital. He was born in New York City son of the late John E and Adeline (Novotny) Bergin. He was a member of Annunciation Parish at the Church of St. Gabriel.
A veteran of the U.S. Army he served from 1961 to 1964 with the 102nd Engineering Co. 3rd Army as a radio operator at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Prior to retiring he was last employed as a Health Care Aide at the White Haven Center. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 442 and the Y.M.P.A. Club.
He is survived by his wife the former Margaret Kline and the following children: John D. Bergin and his wife Monica, Drexel Hill, Michael J. Bergin, Syracuse, Nadine A. Larson and her husband Russ, Collegeville, Pa., and Five Grandchildren.
The Funeral will be held on Friday leaving the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Annunciation Parish at the Church of St. Gabriel. Interment to follow in St. Gabriel Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Friday morning at the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M.

William 'Bill' L. Dewey, 61, of Tresckow, passed away peacefully Sunday at home after a long battle with cancer surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was born in Jackson, Mich., son of William S. Dewey, of Monroe Twp., and the late Ida Jean (Strom) Dewey.
Bill retired from Novae Co. (Look Trailers) after 30-plus years of service, where he developed a passion for building trailers. He played softball well into his 40s. He loved hunting, fishing and quad riding. He also loved taking trips to Michigan to spend time with his family, especially his cousins. Bill was a very outgoing person and made a friend with anyone that he crossed paths with.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his mother, by a niece, Hillary Westfall.
He is survived, in addition to his father, by his wife, the former Alicia Fulton; the following children, William D. Dewey and his wife, Brittany, Harveys Lake; Brianna Dewey, Dallas; Brandon Dewey, Dallas; a stepdaughter, Ashley Harris, Tresckow; five grandchildren; the following brothers and grandchildren, Harry Dewey and his wife, Marsha; Barry Dewey and his wife, Krista; Kristopher Dewey; Tim Dewey and is wife, Kendra; Jean Marie Traver and her husband, Scott; several cousins from Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 8pm Wednesday at Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., Hazleton. the funeral will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Quinzell Davis Rhim, 61, of Sheppton, passed away Oct. 4th at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown. He was born in Philadelphia and graduated from the Philadelphia Public School System and went on to learn a number of trades, including home repairs, culinary arts, hospitality, and welding.
Quin was known for his soft spoken, calm demeanor, a smile a smile that could brighten up any day and his beautiful singing voice. If there was laughter and joking in the area, rest assured Q was somewhere nearby.
In 2008, Q relocated to the Hazleton area where he gained a host of new friends, including Tommy Wanick and his family. Q worked with and for Tommy until his passing. You did not see Tommy without Q and you did not see Q without Tommy.
Q departed this life leaving to mourn his mother the former Dorothy Mae Blackwell, his three sisters: Cheryl Parks, Philadelphia, Valderine Peeples Johnson, Glen Rock, Towahna D. Rhim, Mt. Joy, Pa., a brother William G. Rhim Jr., Philadelphia and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and relatives may call on Saturday Oct. 14th from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. to offer their condolences and shares memories of Q with one another.

Anthony Rosario Stanziola, 70 of Freeland passed away Sunday September 24th, following a battle with prostate cancer. He was born in Hazleton son of the late Anthony C. and Florence (Kraska) Stanziola.
A graduate of Hazleton High School Class of 1970 he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard Reserves and was honorably discharged in May of 1977.
Besides being a businessman in the Hazleton Area for a number of years his last place of employment was Garland Industries, Freeland, Pa.
He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by his life partner of 27 years Bonita Lee Fisher.
He is survived by his daughter Angel Rose Colasurdo, her fiancé Brian Wagner, granddaughter Stella Rose Wagner of Haddock and his ex-wife the former Mary Donna Scatton.
Bonita’s daughter Donna Calarco, granddaughters Amber Giannott, Catrina Calarco and Nadine Calarco, greatgrandchildren Angel Fisher, Bailey Fisher, Aiden Rhoades, Cameron Giannott and LaTrell Mariano.
His sisters and brother Cynthia (Stanziola) Yurchak and her husband Robert, Weatherly, Mary (Stanziola) Clark and her husband Kenneth, Northville, Michigan, John Stanziola and his wife Lauren (Stish), Sugarloaf along with several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday Sept.27th from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
