I came for a buffet of easy prey. I've been watching for weeks and know when the birds are most relaxed.

Here's what I am:
- A specialist who hunts birds.
- Fast, flying up to 55 mph.
- Precise, catching prey mid-flight.
- Native and part of nature's balance.

That cardinal's death means:
- My mate and chicks get fed.
- Weak birds are removed, keeping the population healthy.

You wanted nature in your backyard. I am nature. I'm not a murderer; I'm a parent.

The baby season is officially here. Here's the current status:

âś… ALREADY BORN:
- Great Horned Owl chicks — 3-5 days old, downy white fuzz
- Gray Squirrel babies — First litters emerging from nests
- Bald Eagle chicks — Hatching in southern states
- Some Cottontail litters — Very early, just starting

🤰 PREGNANT (Babies Coming Soon):
- Red Fox — ~2 weeks until kits
- Striped Skunk — ~8-9 weeks
- Raccoon — ~6-7 weeks
- Coyote — ~5-6 weeks

🥚 EGGS INCUBATING:
- Bald Eagles — Many still incubating
- Great Blue Herons — Colonies active
- Early Red-tailed Hawks — Starting soon

- More owl hatching (Barred, Screech) — March
- Robin nesting — Mid-March
- Bluebird nesting — Late March

WHY THIS MATTERS:
- Don't seal entry points now (babies inside)
- Keep cats indoors (vulnerable fledglings)
- Drive carefully at dawn/dusk (mothers crossing)
- Check before mowing (rabbit nests in grass)

Greetings! I invite you to share my deep love and respect for nature, and my passion for everything herbal. I delight in teaching the ancient art and science of herbalism to help create a greater awareness and appreciation of the natural environment and the rich connection between plants and people.

I practice my craft in a quaint little 1940's cottage near the seaside town of Half Moon Bay, CA. Here I offer a variety of herbal classes and workshops specializing in a hands-on approach. Adjacent is my charming herb garden that serves as my living classroom, as do all the abundant natural surroundings that the Coastside has to offer. Whether hiking, gathering, cooking, making natural skin care products, learning about the use of herbs in women's health or pursuing a comprehensive study of herbology, you will find my teaching is both informative and creative.
