It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of our Healdton optometry office, Healdton Family Eye Care, effective immediately. This has been a very difficult decision to make, but one that, unfortunately, is necessary. I can assure you that every avenue has been researched and entertained to keep our doors open. As we all know, the last year and a half have been extremely difficult for everyone, and keeping businesses afloat has proven a challenge on an entirely different level. Every effort has been made to keep this business going in order to provide optometric care for our wonderful patients. Unfortunately, every attempt at continuity has been met with demise. Our original plan for closing included tapering through the end of 2021 to make an easier transition for our patients over to our Ardmore location; however, with staffing changes and multiple other challenges that arose it was unfortunately not possible.
As of August 31, 2021, we have transferred our existing schedule for the Healdton office to our schedule at our Ardmore location, Ardmore Vision & Laser Eye Center. Every effort has been made to contact all patients on our schedule at our Healdton office to transfer appointments to our Ardmore location. We will be transferring your records to the Ardmore office to be available for future reference and are in contract with the same vision and medical insurance plans as the Healdton office has been. We certainly hope you and your family will continue to choose us for your eye care needs at our Ardmore location.
Ardmore Vision & Laser Eye Center is located at 1122 Walnut drive in Ardmore, OK. Our office phone number is 580-223-5300. The office building sits across 12th street from Academy Sports and Dairy Queen on the corner of 12th and Walnut drive. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30-5 and Friday 8:30-1. On a personal note, I want to thank the citizens of Healdton and all of the surrounding communities that have been so good to us for over a decade. I am so thankful for the many lifelong relationships that I have gained through my time in the Healdton area and the wonderful people that have entrusted us with their eye care needs. I hope you will give us the opportunity to serve you and your family’s eye care needs into the future.
