BRIDGING THE AISLE FOR BETTER CARE - From Paul Kaple

Ensuring patients have access to high-quality rehabilitation services is something we can — and should — work on together across both sides of the aisle. Physical therapy access is a non-partisan issue.

I recently had the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. with the American Physical Therapy Association to advocate on behalf of our patients and our profession. We met with both Republicans and Democrats, as these issues truly cross the aisle.

A sincere thank you to Senator Bernie Moreno, Senator Jon Husted, Representative Mike Carey, Representative Troy Balderson, and Representative Marcy Kaptur for taking the time to meet with me and discuss key healthcare issues impacting Ohio.

We focused on Medicare reform, improving patient access to care, and expanding federal loan opportunities for physical therapy students — critical steps to support both current patients and the future of our profession.

Grateful for the opportunity to advocate and for the continued engagement of our elected officials.
