One moment it was here on my plate, the next it wasn’t 😂 hahaha this is real pregs life. Here’s the recipe for the yummy muffins I posted in my story:
G A T H E R:
3 bananas
2 eggs
1/2 c dates
2 c sprouted oats
1/4 c chocolate chips (dairy free)
1 tsp baking soda
M E T H O D:
Grease muffin tins or use parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350. Pulse oats in the blender until fine powder forms. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth. Spoon into muffin forms. Top with chocolate chips. Bake for 15-20 minutes until done. YUM!! So easy and quick. Store in your fridge. Then keep leftovers in the freezer for busy weeks!

As mentioned in my stories... eating well doesn’t need to cost a lot or take up too much of your precious time. It just requires some thinking on your part! Here’s an easy lunch idea that’s packed with protein, fiber, healthy fat, and greens.
1 slice sprouted grain bread
1/2 banana
1.5 T peanut or any nut butter
Dash of honey
Cinnamon to taste
Grass fed butter
1 T chia seed
1 kiwi sliced

Mix all the ingredients except bread and kiwi. Spread thick on your slice of bread and pair with the kiwi!

In case you missed this little gem on my story today.. haha! Meal time with my little sis is never boring, sometimes frustrating, & always makes me smile.

Emma is such a great eater! Which is a big blessing for a mama. I make sure all her fruits and veggies have plenty of yummy spices and flavors so that they’re not boring. And she seems to love them.

On repeat at our house once October hits, and continues until the days are warm again: steamed apples
🍎
GATHER: 1-2 large apples (Fuji are my personal fave)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
🍎
METHOD: peel, core, and then thinly slice the apples. Put them in a small pot with the cinnamon and stir around to cover the apples. Turn on very low to simmer, and cover for 20-30 minutes until soft. So yummy! And makes your house smell delicious too 🎄❤️

Oh, December... I love you! With all of your music, lights, treats, gatherings, love, & joy. But also lots of consumption, hustle, & busy-ness, if we allow it. I believe that perhaps now, more than any other time of year, we must make time to come to Him. To be still. To come joyfully and humbly to the manger where He laid, taking His first breaths of life, and offer ourselves to Him.

We can do this almost in a literal fashion as we make time every day to SIT and be still. To FEEL HIM. And invite Him into our every single moments.

My Christmas wish is that we may be His hands. This month & always. That we can take time to work on ourselves so that we can better show up for other humans in our together journey here! I am so grateful for Him. Because of Him, I live, and move, and have my being. Because of Him I am a wife and mother to a family that will be forever- without end. Join me and come and adore Him, bring Him your gifts, and perhaps most importantly, your heart.

This cold/flu knocked me on my freeakkkkiiinnn butt yesterday! Here’s a simple tea remedy that helps everything so much:
1 c yarrow
1/2 c burdock root
1/2 c licorice root
Raw honey to taste
1 drop ginger essential oil
5 c water
🤙🏻
Bring it to a boil. Then cover & summer for 30 minutes. Pour it in a big cup and sip it throughout the day. Yarrow can help induce a wet fever to burn out infection. Ginger supports immune system. Burdock helps clean blood. Licorice is perfect for a cold

People want a perfect marriage. They want a perfect house. They want to be the perfect weight. They want the perfect car. The perfect clothes. The perfect kids. And a lot of us spend a good part of our life searching for it! I just can’t ever promise that if and when you get all of that, you’ll be happy. In fact, I can almost guarantee you won’t. ⠀

However, I here’s something I CAN promise you: wherever you are today, if you can get outside and go for even just a 10 minute walk, and think about all of the blessings you have, and how there are a lot of people out there who probably have it worse than you do... I PROMISE that if you can breathe in some oxygen, move your body for a sec, and then exercise deep and true gratitude, you will be happy. It is impossible to do this and not feel so. Don’t believe me? YOURE ON!! Go try it & let me know how ya feel. Then once you’re done, don’t go back to feeling down about your life and circumstance. Serve someone else. ⠀

This is my message, guys. In every aspect of health/wellness/yoga/everything: our greatest joy and HEALTH in life comes when we start thinking of others. When we stop comparing. When we start choosing. Choosing love. Choosing faith. Choosing gratitude. Perfect joy DOES exist. But it’s not out there. It’s right here on the middle of your mess, when you choose it.

The root of most dis-ease in the body is the gut! If you’ve been here for a while, you’re prolly sick of me telling you this. But it’s critical information folks! I don’t recommend supplements hardly ever. I believe our bodies should get nutrients and healing from real food, herbs and essential oils. Plus supplements can just confuse our bodies and most often just get stored and not even used. ⠀

I make one exception!- Silver Fern Brand probiotics and digestive enzymes! These are amazing and have been a big blessing in my life. Let me know if you’d like to try them. They are the most effective and clean probiotics that I’m aware of, and I think I’ve probably tried just about every single one. Just FYI- if you are going to the restroom 1 time or less a day, you need these to support your digestive system. Our bodies digestive function should be such that we eliminate every time we eat. Let me know if you need more guidance or help with kickstarting your gut. I’m happy to help ☺️

Wanna know something about this pose? It feels so dang good! Especially when I follow my breath and totally relax into it. I’m always tellin y’all that yoga reflects life. So next time you’re in a hard pose or difficult challenge, see if you can quiet your mind and just let your breath carry you through. The breath is the magic. The breath is real. And you can do juuussssttttt about anything if you’re breathing. Keep breathing beautiful you! 🤙🏻

Orrrrr here is the short version: take it a day at time. “It” being whatever you spend your time with the most! I shared how I have been struggling so hard the past few weeks about balancing work life with mom life. I am a Type A person.. which means I always think about results. When I wake up in the morning I wanna know what today will bring. I wanna know the result ⠀
🤙🏻⠀
However- this can often cause “failure” if I don’t get the result I wanted... which feels like eating plain fruit for dessert- UGH. 😂😭 but here’s the trick.. if we choose to wake up in the morning and stay true to our philosophy- what is important, right, and true for us, then our thoughts will follow. And then our actions. And then the result. And even if the result isn’t the one we had pictured, we get to be at ease anyway. Why? Because we did our best, we stayed true to who we were, & we were honest! That means that no matter how wonky your day gets, it can still be fulfilling when you lay your head on your pillow to sleep. This is important freakin stuff when you’re a mama! Amiright? Cuz what Mom gets all her stuff done at the end of the day? 🤷‍♀️ if you do, share your secrets now! ⠀

So anyway- I just want to say that this space is sometimes confusing and hard for me to understand. That’s why I haven’t been very present on it lately.
