Disturbing connection between COVID-19 and diabetes. Our clinic encourages getting the vaccine when possible to hopefully avoid getting this virus altogether.

SARS-CoV-2 is shown to infect and replicate in human pancreatic tissue, including in β-cells, which is associated with morphological, transcriptomic and functional changes.

Great news!  Hopefully this works out as good as it sounds.

Great news! Hopefully this works out as good as it sounds.

Scientists have developed a new system using the CRISPR genome-editing system to attack and kill cancer cells. The system targets cancel cells directly and, like "scissors," cuts their DNA, killing them. Additional trials and testing are needed, but the promising new system could eventually be used....
