It starts small.

Something irritating.
Something that doesn’t quite feel right.
Something you notice, then choose to ignore.

And then it stays.

Becoming part of the background.

Tolerating things that don’t feel good.
Holding onto patterns that don’t serve them.
Ignoring what their body is telling them.

Not because they don’t know but because they’ve gotten used to it.

But just because something has been there for a while
doesn’t mean it belongs.

I know because this was exactly what I used to do. Ignore and pretend that the “thing” wasn’t there. That it would “go away” if I just ignored it long enough.
Then I would get migraines, and I wouldn’t eat because I wasn’t hungry. I would “try” to sleep but my brain wouldn’t shut up. And then the morning would come and I would start the whole process over.

Until I became exhausted. Until I could barely function. Until my health began to fail. Until I spent over $10,000 in one year to find out “what was wrong with me,” only to be told, “there is nothing wrong with you.” What??
I get it. I understand because I have lived it. And this pattern nearly killed me, literally.

In the equine-assisted online program, Confidence through Connection, I teach from lived experience. Not from a book. Not from a theory. But lived experience. That makes all the difference because you don’t need to “tell your story” to me for me to understand and help you. You just need to show up for the program and learn to reconnect with yourself and heal the wounds you have been ignoring.

These are a few of the things the women I am working with are telling me after going through Confidence through Connection:

“I didn’t even realize how much I was carrying until I let it go.”

“I feel lighter… like I can finally breathe again.”

“I’m starting to trust myself in a way I haven’t before.”

The next group is starting soon.

If you’re ready to stop tolerating what doesn’t feel right…

Self-care is not selfish.

I used to think it was
Or at least I lived like it was.

There was always something more important.
Someone else who needed something.
Something that had to get done first.

So I pushed through.
Ignored what my body was asking for.
Told myself I’d rest later.

And later never came.
There was always one more thing to do
One more person who needed me.
I just never realized that person was ME.

What I didn’t realize was that I was the one living in that body.
Carrying the tension.
Holding all of it together in the name of “perfection.”

And there was a cost. a HUGE cost.

I’ve lived in that place for most of my life,
where your body is asking you to slow down,

But your mind won’t let you.

No matter what you do.
You can’t slow down.

You just GO, GO, GO, and GO.

Where rest feels uncomfortable.

Where doing nothing feels wrong.

And over time, you stop hearing yourself.

The work I’ve done with my horses brought me back to something simple, but not easy

listening.

Listening to myself.

To my body.
To my limits.
To what I actually need.

Because the truth is

You are the one who has to live in your body every single day.

Confidence through Connection isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about coming back to yourself through horses, just as I have learned. I teach from learned experience, not book experience. Real lived experience.

Sometimes the block isn’t what you think it is.

From the outside, you don’t appear stuck, but inside, you feel trapped, helpless, and hopeless.

I understand more than you realize because I have lived most of my life this way.

I appeared outwardly to have “my sh*t” together, yet inside I was falling apart.

I was falling apart but too scared to admit it or do anything about it.

The issue wasn’t that I couldn’t ask for help; it was that there was no one to ask who would genuinely help me.

I would keep giving and giving AND giving, but when I needed help, those I had given to were nowhere to be found.

So I was stuck.

I was blocked and didn’t even realize it.

And even if I had known I was stuck, I didn’t know how to get unstuck.

I didn’t know how to “look for the gate.”

It was my horses that showed me I was only stuck in myself.

That I had been taught to perform for acceptance and love.

Horses do not live this way.

They live in the present moment and when we start to learn how to be present with ourselves, we find “our gate.”

This is one of the skills I teach in my 6-week online group program

“Confidence through Connection”

for women who have experienced what I call the

3 D’s: Death, Divorce, and Domestic Violence.

The next group is starting soon and I am offering a special rate for a limited time.

Contact me today to register. It is life-changing, and it is all thanks to horses.

See you in the next group!!

If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck…

No urgency.
No pressure.
No performing.
This is exactly what Tenacity is doing here in this video. Just being.

How often do you allow yourself to just be? Not doing anything. Without guilt.

So many women live in a constant state of “on.”
thinking, doing, managing, holding everything together. And never allow themselves to just be.

But our system was never designed to live in the “on” state all the time. Being “on” all the time has serious consequences to your mental and physical health.
Horses are not always “on.” They understand they need to simply be and recharge. That is their nature, and we, as women who are always “on,” can learn to just “be” like a horse.
This is the foundation of the online equine-assisted Confidence through Connection program

Learning how to slow down without guilt.

The next group is filling up quickly, and the discounted fee is limited. Contact me today to sign up and learn how to just “be” like a horse.

There’s something about today.

A reminder of surrender.
Of letting go.
Of trusting what we can’t always see, yet.

And then there’s the other side of the coin. Hanging on for dear life. Clutching tightly to what we have or think we have. Hanging onto potential rather than what is real.
I know all about this as this is what I was taught to do. Hang on even if it was at my expense. That I had to suffer in order to be loved. That if I let go, I was failing.
That I had to “keep myself together” even when I was falling apart inside.

So many women I work with are used to holding it all in, no matter what.

All of the responsibility.
All of the pressure.
And all of the expectations.

To the point where “letting go” doesn’t even seem like an option anymore. And they are clueless about how to let go.

But what if you could learn to be more like Libby or horses?
Just playing in the moment.
No burdens.
No cares.
Just play and freedom.

What if, just for a moment, you didn’t have to carry ALL of it?

This is what Confidence through Connection is all about: learning how to reconnect with yourself. Learn how to NOT carry everything and instead focus on carrying yourself without guilt.
Horses excel at living in the present moment and are eager to teach us how to become healthier women.
Lead like a woman, Lead love like a horse. This is the essence of Confidence through Connection.
The next group is now open. Reach out today to register. Spots are limited.

What do you see when you really look closely?

What do you see reflected back to you?

Horses have a way of reflecting things back to us
that we don’t always see on our own. Or want to see.
Horses don’t judge and they don’t speak with words.

Just the truth, whether you want to hear it or not.

Sometimes what they reflect is quiet.

Sometimes it’s uncomfortable.

And most of the time, it’s exactly what we’ve been trying to avoid.

I know because I have been there—avoiding what I knew was underneath my armor. I was taught to “rescue and save the men in my life at the expense of myself.” I knew deep down that it wasn’t right or healthy, yet I kept doing it. Until Spinner started reflecting me back to myself. It was not pretty; in fact, it was downright painful. But he was showing me the truth.

And that is where clarity begins. That’s where healing begins.

This is why I have launched my equine-assisted online program for women who have experienced any or all of what I call the 3 D’s: Death, Divorce, and Domestic Violence.
This is the foundation for Confidence through Connection. And I teach from lived experience.

If you're ready to stop hiding from the truth and yourself, contact me to sign up for the next group of Confidence through Connection. The women I work with absolutely love the program and are excited about the relief they find with horses. Register today, as the special pricing for the 6-week program ends soon. Don’t miss this chance to finally see your true reflection.

What do you do for self care?

03/31/2026

Self-care is taking your power back.
It is pausing long enough to actually feel what your body needs.

And if we’re honest…

A lot of women aren’t very good at it, if they pause at all.
I know I used to be one of those women.
One of those women who thought suffering was courage.
That pushing beyond exhaustion was noble

But over time, it cost me.

I was beyond exhaustion.
I was totally disconnected from myself.
And I had no idea who I was anymore.

Horses don’t do that. No questions asked. They just don’t do it.

They take what they need, when they need it.
No guilt. No justification.
Self-care is about learning to return to your body.
Learning what your true actual needs are.
And most importantly, what your capacity is.

Confidence through Connection is now open for the next group.

And if you’re ready to stop running on empty and start reconnecting with yourself, reach out to me today for more information about Confidence through Connection. The women I work with now in the program are loving it!!!

Perspective changes everything.

From here, you can see the opening
The space beyond the canyon
What’s possible from a different vantage point.

But when you’re down inside it…

It can feel tight.
Like, there’s no real way forward.

So many women I work with feel like that,
Standing in the middle of their lives,
Knowing something needs to shift,
But not yet able to see the path.

Horses teach us something powerful.

Not to force the answer…
But to step back,
Breathe,
And allow a different perspective to emerge.

Because the path is already there
We just can’t always see it from where we’re standing.

This is the heart of
Confidence through Connection:

Changing perspective through connection with horses.

I said goodbye to Bandit last week.

Even writing that still feels a little unreal.

He was steady in a way that’s hard to put into words.
Quiet. Present. Honest. Bandit.

The kind of presence that didn’t ask anything from you
but somehow made you feel more like yourself just by being close to him.

Horses have a way of doing that.

They don’t fix us.
They don’t force anything.

They simply meet us where we are. Nothing more, nothing less.

The work I do isn’t about pushing or forcing change.

It’s about creating space for truth, for emotion, for connection, for healing.

Bandit was part of that. A big part even though he was a little guy.

And though he’s gone what he gave is still here and will always be here.

If you’ve been feeling the weight of everything you’ve been carrying
just know you don’t have to do it alone. That was the power of Bandit. Steady, grounded connection.

You will be greatly missed.

What do you notice?

There’s no right or wrong answer.

Just notice what stands out to you.

Awareness is where everything begins.

Last night in my first Confidence through Connection group session, this was our focus.

Not fixing.
Not analyzing.
Just noticing.

Because how you see something often reflects how you experience the world.

And when that awareness shifts everything else can begin to shift, too.
