I know Pat Kenner typically prefers to stay behind the scenes and doesn't always love the spotlight, but I’m throwing an extra special thank you his way regardless! Pat, you are an amazing advocate for Hebron and are constantly rooting for everyone in Thayer County. We are so lucky to have you in our corner!

🎒Thanks to the generosity of Thayer County Bank, our Preschoolers have a brand-new place to call their own! We are officially rocking new lockers at the Academy (we’ve never had lockers!)

The best part? All 20 locker spots are FULL!👏🏼🤩

Seeing those cubbies filled with backpacks and tiny jackets is a beautiful reminder of how much we are growing together. Thank you, Thayer County Bank, for helping us stay organized and making our students feel right at home! 🏡

Our little creators have been incredibly busy the last two days! From fine motor skills to collaborative masterpieces, here is a look at what we’ve been up to!
🩵 Todd2, Lion Art Projects: We roared into creativity with some fierce (and adorable) lion crafts.
💚 Pre-K, Bead Stringing: Our students practiced patience and coordination while making colorful beaded creations. The extra special part? The bracelets represented members of our family! We got creative making special bracelets! Each child added the initials of their family members they shared with their teacher, along with hearts to represent any household pets. This was a fun way to celebrate the people (and animals!) who are important to us.
🧡 Center-Wide Canvas: Everyone lent a hand to a giant collaborative painting that represents our whole school family.
🤍 School Age, Individual Name Canvases: The kids took pride in their identity by designing their very own name art!

We love seeing their imaginations run wild!. 🎨

What an incredible couple of days here at TKA! 🌟

Yesterday was all about “Tasty Tuesday!” 🍦🍓🍎 Our Toddler 1 group whipped up some homemade ice cream, Toddler 2 enjoyed making delicious fruit skewers, and our Preschoolers put together yummy apple nachos. Talk about a delicious way to learn!

Today, we shifted gears to “Work Together Wednesday!” 🤝 From Toddler 2’s collaborative giant mural to the preschooler’s teamwork stations (lion manes, bunny feeding, and block tower challenges!) and our school-agers’ paper airplane competition, we are so proud of how our students supported and encouraged one another. Teamwork makes the dream work! ✨

To kick off the Week of the Young Child, we’ve been finding our rhythm in every corner of the day! From grooving in the classroom to dancing under the sun, we even turned our lunchroom into a percussion studio with our silverware and hands. 🍴✨
