Yesterday morning began with a cup of tulsi tea on the porch, watching the mist drift over the fields. Later, Chance and I wandered into the woods to gather goldenrod, it was finally cool enough to wear a light sweater!
Back home, I opened all the windows (lüften, the German art of fresh air), washed with rosemary water, simmered citrus and star anise on the stove, and began planning out the rest of our day. Moving slowly, I could feel my nervous system shift, like the house and my body were both exhaling at once.
This is the start of my Autumn Reset, a seasonal practice of herbs, hygge, and nourishing foods to prepare for winter. Friday, I’ll be sharing the full Autumn Reset Guide, so you can follow along and weave these rhythms into your own days.
