Here is one more improvement that was recently completed. At the end of the shelter belt were concrete chunks that had been stacking up for years. Two days and eight loads later, these are the before and after photos. Big thanks to our volunteer worker, Johnny Hill. Give this guy a shout out if you see him around town.
Chester D. Fowler filled in the area and added rock around the corner when he did the roads to add the finishing touches.

Thanks to our supporters and donors, we were able to add some rock for roads in the north part of the cemetery. Chester D. Fowler did all the project and it looks great. For now we are just doing about half of the north side. Check it out!

Rowe Cemetery Association will not be having a bake sale at the Cotton Festival. We decided it was time to pass the torch to any other Hedley organization interested in a fundraiser. Thank you to all our bakers and buyers who have supported us in the past and also to those who continue to send memorials and donations for the upkeep of the cemetery.

FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY TODAY 🇺🇸

Below is just a part of the solemn ceremony by Adamson Lane American Legion Post 287

A flag may be a flimsy bit of printed gauze or a beautiful banner of the finest silk. Its intrinsic value may be trifling or great; but its real value is beyond price, for it is a precious symbol of all that we and our comrades have worked and lived for, and died for a free Nation of free men, true to the faith of the past, devoted to the ideas and practice of Justice, Freedom and Democracy.
Let these faded Flags of our country be retired and destroyed with respectful and honorable rites and their places be taken by bright new Flags of the same size and kind, and let no grave of our soldier or sailor be unhonored and unmarked.

Thankful for these and all soldiers for what they do for us.
