Fruithurst - Pauline "Polly" Marrow Walker, 96, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Fruithurst Baptist Church with the Rev. James Owens, Rev. Phillip Morris, & Rev. Lee Hollis officiating. Burial will follow in Fruithurst City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Fruithurst Baptist Church. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Granddaughter - Lanai L. Gardner (Nathan), Auburn, AL
Great Grandchildren - Preston Gardner, Layla Gardner, & Della Raye Gardner, Auburn, AL
Many cousins, friends & neighbors
Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lee Walker, daughter, Shelia Walker Laminack, son-in-law, Barry Dean Laminack, parents, William "Bill" & Della Chandler Marrow, grandparents, Jim & Parthenia Marrow and John & Martha Chandler.
Polly was a good companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and set good examples in living a Christian life. She had been an active member in Fruithurst Baptist Church since 1945, also serving in many organizations - Past Worthy Matron of Heflin Chapter of Eastern Star, member of Alabama Baptist Secretaries, American Heart Fund, Relay for Life, National Affiliation of Literacy Advance and American Cancer Society. Polly was the first employee of Moore Business Forms in Heflin and retired with 31 years of service, also retired from Heflin Baptist Church with 21 years of service and currently working with the USDA Forest Service Shoal Creek Ranger District.
