I want to give everyone an update. The prior post regarding PRCA sanctioned events appears to be getting solved! The PRCA Headquarters agrees this should’ve never happened. I feel that it is being taken care of correctly and professionally by the PRCA, they are a great company. One of the issues is, some board members at these sanctioned PRCA rodeos that do not do their best. We even received an apology from one of the rodeos involved in this. They stated it was not their intention to discriminate against her, and they should’ve approached it differently than just believing a rumor about Alayna. The organization of I Ride For Life will always stand up for kids with life-changing illnesses and there’s a lot of kids every day that are being treated differently because of their illness. If no rules or laws are broken, and if they can do their job, let them show the world that they are more than just an illness. We are proud of the PRCA Company for the way they are handling this issue. Will there be retaliation back from the rodeo committees and boards over this situation? Most likely. But doing the right thing is more important. This is happening more than what people think it is. And hopefully this does not affect Alayna or any other kid in the future of chasing their dreams. Our team strives to do what’s best for all kids with life-changing illnesses. This has nothing to do with Miss Rodeo Universe, Alayna resigned from the title last year. And no, this is not written by a 10-year-old girl. She does post on her page sometimes to keep everybody updated, but mainly also her board members. If some people choose to attack kids that have life-changing illnesses and not believe stuff like this doesn’t happen in the world, that is fine as well. We have received a lot of proof and evidence behind all of this from text messages, emails and recordings of kids all across the United States being discriminated against by adult in multiple aspects of rodeo and sports.
The western way of life is about not giving up and fighting for what you believe in. My title is Miss I Ride For Life. No this title is not sanctioned by PRCA or any rodeo organization but has its own board. It is here to give kids like me more opportunities and to show that they are more than their illness. This title is here to give them an opportunity to ride in rodeos since we are building this to be able to bring other queens in as well.
