It was video day at UAMS East, featuring several employees and providers along with Stephanie Loveless as the narrator. ☺️ This short video will be used to highlight all the services UAMS East Family Medicine Clinic offers to the surrounding area.

College students walked away with lots of information to decide their next steps as a health care professional at the Undergraduate Pre-Health Conference last Friday at UAMS Little Rock. Students heard from the five UAMS colleges and graduate school, plus tips from a 7-member UAMS student panel. One piece of advice from a second-year med school student was to have a compelling story for the interview so you can stand out from the crowd. UAMS College of Nursing

The MVP for April from the UAMS Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and the Primary Care and Population Health Service Line is Angela Ward, RN, the CSM for the Family Medicine Clinic in Helena. She has been a valued member of Team UAMS for seven years!

The nomination said that Angela always goes above and beyond for patients and exceeds the standards for nursing practice. If there is something to be figured out, she is there to get it accomplished. Patient satisfaction is her highest priority - she never leaves a patient disgruntled or unhappy after speaking to them. Patients seek her out when coming to the clinic because of her relationship with them.
She is kind, charismatic, a true team player, and she helps the clinic function smoothly.

Angela will be honored at the DFPM Family Medicine Research Symposium April 28.

Congratulations, Angela, and thank you for all you do!

UAMS Regional Campuses is hosting the Undergraduate Pre-Health Conference April 17 on the UAMS Little Rock campus for undergraduates interested in pursuing a health care career. Students from 2-year or 4-year colleges in Arkansas and surrounding states are invited. The free event includes 6 breakout sessions with colleges of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, health professions and the graduate school., campus tours and a panel discussion with current UAMS students.
