Logan Health - Shelby proudly serves Toole County and surrounding communities with access to high-quality healthcare. It is a 21-bed critical access hospital with acute care services. CMS announced today Rural Health Transformation Program funding for federal fiscal year 2026. Montana was awarded $233,509,359 — the fourth-highest in the nation. Madison Valley Medical Center (MVMC) is a public non-profit, 10-bed critical access hospital with a rural health clinic based in Ennis. MVMC is the only hospital and clinic in the Madison Valley Hospital District and serves a resident population of approximately 4,800 people. St. Peter's Health recently announced that it was joining with Helena Orthopaedic Clinic and welcoming a large group of HOC's surgeons and staff to St. Peter's Orthopedics. The integration creates one of the largest orthopedic practices in Montana.
