As an optometrist, I feel compelled to make a PSA concerning the upcoming solar eclipse taking place in ALABAMA on Monday April 8, 2024 1:45-4:15p. Please confirm your solar eclipse glasses are legit. I don’t want to see anyone of you in my office with your retinas fried! Please!
Quick notes:
1. Make sure it says exactly this on the glasses: ISO 12312-2
2. Test on your phone flashlight, you shouldn't be able see the light distinctly (see attached pics)
3. Make sure the manufacture is on the approved list:
