What is the difference between Prolo and PRP Therapy? Both treatments are via injection into a joint such as shoulders or knees, but the main difference is what is being put into your body. PRP which is Platelet-Rich-Plasma, injects your own plasma from your blood back into the affected area to promote healing.
Prolotherapy involves injecting Dextrose into the affected area which triggers a slight inflammatory response to the body- signaling it to heal.

Both are self-pay services not able to submit to insurance, price varies depending on the areas being treated.

It can be an indicator of diseases, cancers, and other health related issues such as hyper or hypothyroidism, high cholesterol, kidney and liver function, etc. Annual labs generally consist of CMP, CBC, Thyroid, Lipid, and whatever else your Doctor might recommend.
