During Small Business Month, we’re proud to spotlight some of the incredible small business leaders who help make our community stronger. 💙
Today, we’re featuring one of our Chamber board members from Headwaters Hospice and Palliative Care, Michael Brown.
*1. Tell us about your business in one sentence - and what makes it special.*
Headwaters Hospice and Palliative Care provides personalized in-home hospice and palliative care. Driven by our CARE Core Values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence), we are the most trusted Hospice and Palliative Provider in town.
*2. What inspired you to start (or take over) your business, and what keeps you motivated today?*
I was inspired to start the business to provide truly compassionate, community-focused care - and seeing the difference it makes for patients and families, and the community keeps me going.
*3. What’s one challenge small business owners are facing right now - and how has community support helped you navigate it?*
Right now, educating the community on the benefits of Hospice - removing the myths and stigma around it so people can see the benefits of the service. The support from local businesses and community connections has been really helpful in building our team and resources.
*4. What does being part of this community mean to you as a business owner?*
Being part of this community means everything - it’s why we do what we do. I’m proud to serve Montanans and work alongside other business owners who care about the people here.
*5. Why was it important to you to serve on the Chamber/board as a small business owner?*
Serving on the board is important because it’s a way to give back, stay connected, and help shape the business environment for all of us.
Thank you to Headwaters Hospice & Palliative Care for the compassion, leadership, and care you bring to our community every day.
