I have had a few inquiries regarding my availability. Village Doc will not be available for house-calls during the 21-22 illness season. I’m sorry I have not been able to return to a house-call based practice. I do not currently have a time frame for which I might be able to resume that style of business. Village Doc will not be open for the 2019-20 winter season. Today was the original scheduled day to begin. It is a financial challenge to start a new business and Village Doc is still at the minimal/modest income level in it’s growth. The decision to spend the winter working as a locum’s physician is based purely on the financial needs of my household/family. I still believe house-calls are an awesome way to give and receive pediatric acute care and I hope to be financially able to resume my business in the future. I recognize that there are a core group of patients who used my practice regularly; I apologize in advance for not being available to serve your needs this winter. The decision to work outside of my house-call business was very difficult, but necessary at this time. Thank you for your understanding. Blayne Fritz MD

Village Doc is now in it’s “off season”. I am currently not staffing a clinic in Helena. There tends not to be too many sick kids in the summer and I head off to do the traveling portion of my pediatric work schedule. The current plans are for Village Doc to run my “house-call” practice Thanksgiving through Memorial Day for the 2019-20 season. See you in November and have a great summer/fall!!!

Village Doc will be open for appointments this evening from 6-9pm. I will not be available for appointments Monday or Tuesday (New Years Eve and New Years Day). I will resume my normal (morning and evening) hours on Wednesday, January 2. Thanks and have an awesome New Years holiday!

I will have a modified schedule this week. I am not available for appointments tonight (Sunday). I will have hours available for appointments Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. I will not be available Monday evening or Christmas Day. I hope you have a safe, healthy and joyous Christmas week! If you need a visit, give me a call and we’ll see if we can make it work during one of these available times!

I am back full time from my out of state medical work, and I am available for appointments on my regular Village Doc schedule. As a reminder, I have a split shift from 7:30 am to 1:00 and then 6:00 - 9:00 pm. I work Sunday evening through Thursday afternoon. If it’s been awhile, give Village Doc a call and see just how nice a pediatric house-call can be!

Village Doc will not be available for appointments Dec 2 - Dec 10. This is my last full week of providing out-of-town call coverage until next spring. I apologize for the inconvenience but look forward to serving your needs for the remainder of the “winter illness” season beginning Dec 11.

We will be available for house-calls beginning at 6pm tonight (Sunday) through 9pm Wednesday evening. This busy week is the perfect time to try the convenience of a house-call! Village Doc has a slightly different clinic schedule this year. My evening clinic is now from 6pm- 9pm (instead of 7-10). I think this will be a better match for the evening routine of families with young kids and the hours the pharmacies are open. My morning clinic is still 7:30am-1:00pm.
