Written for Mending Mother's Day, 2025

For those of us whose mothers fell short of even their own expectations because they were the sole breadwinner and were always at work...
For those of us who felt ignored, neglected or abandoned by our mother's during our upbringing...
For those of us who have suffered difficult and strained relations with our mothers because of abuse, neglect, or ignorance, and struggle with forgiveness...
For those of us whose Mothers have crossed over forever robbing us the opportunity of reconciliation, absolution, or expression of understanding...
For those of us whose mothers suffer from mental illness, creating obstacles for demonstrations of love and clear communication...
For those of us who lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or SIDS, abruptly changing the course of our trajectory of hope into a spiral of confusion...
For those of us who were forced to relinquish our opportunity for motherhood through abortion or adoption and will forever grieve what might have been...
For those of us experiencing grief because our baby, is transitioning to a different gender than assigned at birth and while we didn't loose the person, we lost the experience of a projected future path; our ideas, hopes and dreams attached to our birth child...
For those of us who have lost a child through a terminal illness or chatastrophic accident...
For those of us who were powerless to protect our children from a situation that they hold us responsible for and harbor resentment against us that almost seems unbareable some days and often hopeless to recover and overcome...
For those of us who are estranged from our adult children, disenfranchising us from celebrations of love and admiration...
For those of us whose children are lost to us through addictions, imprisonment, or mental illness, straining our relationships and open expressions of love...
For those of us who know something isn't quite right and we feel like somehow we must have failed and our kids just didn't get the memo...
For all these reasons and other unspeakable horrors and sorrows, we ask for healing from the etherial realm.
You have been heard. You have been seen.
Let's look around our lives and acknowledge and give thanks for those who step in where others go out, for those who provide a safe place for our deepest expressions of sadness and loss, for those who grieve with us, hold space with us, know our shadows and sorrows and asure us we are not alone; and for those who are sent to us to introduce a new perspective to us to aid in healing our wounds.
Let us be lifted in spirit knowing we do not carry this burden of grief alone. Surround us in healing love and divine light, so that we may make peace with our paths; our journey of awakening to a new understanding, gnostism and a forgiveness beyond the scope of our limited imagination.
Blessed be🙏🙌

When you’re in grief, the holidays can feel like an energy force that you’re no longer connected to. The world goes on around you and you feel no longer apart of the holiday spirit. It’s easy to blame yourself as others might do that. The truth is you’re not a grinch, you’re in grief. How is your grief feeling this holiday season?

I was thinking about when hurricane Katrina happened and (if memory serves me correctly), the company Carl Chipp works at, took a truckload of gently used household items to help with the relief and recovery efforts taking place there. I think it is advisable for those of us not being affected by the devistation in the east, to start WWJD action alongside our thought's and prayers. While we are watching the news, feeling helpless to do something- we can start taking action now. Look around our homes for things we have duplicates of, things we don't really use, thongs we don't actually need.or really even care about. Even the stuff we do, but can sacrifice to help someone else. Gather these items. Be ready to take them for donations.
Organizations like the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, etc. Will be mobilizing to take deliveries across country to help those in need. Rather than using our brilliant minds to criticize our fellow man, FEMA, the Government, and NOAA (like we always do, even though in all actuality we could do no better than they do with what they know at any givem moment), how about we be a part of the solution?
There will be those who have lost family members who couldn't escape who need emotional and mental support. There are people who can't go back to work or school. People who will be displaced for a very long time... Their lives in constant disruption. Let's find ways to help them.

The holidays will be here soon and these people have lost everything. And you know damn well you're gonna go buy new stuff anyway, because you can. Your store is open. So, let's think of what we can send our friends in the south to help them get ready for winter. We may not be able to physically go there and pump water, cut up down trees or repair roads and buildings, but someone will be taking donations over there. Let me know when you hear, who, when and where. I'll send stuff too!

On Thursday I asked for prayers for all our friends and family in GA, FL, and TN, because at that point the anticipated path of the hurricane looked to be going north. Most everyone that I know of is safe. Thank you all for your prayers. Saturday I asked for prayers for my cousin's dog who received a laceration, who is now expected to make a full recovery. My sincere gratitude for your love and light given for Sadie to receive a full recovery.

This morning I read about my instructor and grief mentor who I forgot lives in North Carolina. She is safe, but the surrounding areas are not. Not by any stretch of the imagination. I don't think anyone was able to detect the extent of the damage that would come out of this hurricane. Even if they were, there are always those who choose to stick it out or believe they have no alternative.

My prayers go out to those families experiencing this catastrophe, their friends and families who will experience more loss and insurmountable grief before this is all said and done. May love heal you broken hearts, may light shine into your darkness, may you recieve all the support you need to move forward with all the hope that fuels humanity to assist you in your time of need. May the very best we have to offer, show up for you in abundance.

And so it is!🙏🙌🙌🙌

Borrowing from another group because this seems like it makes sense to me and might help someone understand the nature of Nature. We create our own suffering in this life. To be sure. We can stop anytime we want to by paying attention and changing our behaviors.
"Keep doing what you're doing and you'll keep getting what you're getting" works both in positive and negative ways. That's why mindfulness, prayer and meditation help support us in making positive changes.

KARMA
Just as like attracts like, so like produces like. This is a cosmic law, which means that it is universally true throughout the whole of existence right up through the higher planes. As Jesus put it, you do not gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles; and he also said,
“Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit” Matthew 7:17
So it is with our thoughts and words and deeds. As we sow so shall we reap, sometimes almost immediately, sometimes after a long interval. But always, sooner or later like produces like.
Reincarnation also explains the differences in talents that we find between one man and another. The born musician is a man who has studied music in a previous life, perhaps in several lives, and has therefore built that faculty into his soul. He is a talented musician today because he is reaping what he sowed yesterday. In the East this law of sowing and reaping is known as karma and the term is a convenient one.
Note carefully, however, that karma is not punishment. If you touch a red hot stove, you will burn your finger. This will hurt you, but it is not punishment, only a benign and reformative consequence, for after one or two such experiences in childhood, you learn to keep your fingers away from hot iron. So it is with all natural retribution—you suffer because you have a lesson to learn.
