September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 💛Pediatric cancers are the leading cause of death from disease for children and adolescents. The cause of these cancers is unknown. Many cancers can be found early with children, however it can be hard to recognize as they mask as common illnesses or injuries. It is important to have your child examined by a doctor if they have unusual signs or symptoms that do not go away. Here are a few listed by American Cancer society:

-Unusual lump or swelling
-Unexplained paleness and loss of energy
-Easy bruising or bleeding
-ongoing pain in one area of the body
-Unexplained fever/illness that does not go away
-Frequent headaches, often with vomiting
-Sudden eye or vision changes
-Sudden unexplained weight loss
