ORGANIC TIP TUESDAY

DID YOU KNOW...?
Peaches are considered to be a stress-relieving fruit. Its high fiber content is excellent for digestive issues. The Vitamins C and A it contains are great for skin health. Peaches are also a good source of potassium, which the body needs to regulate heart rate and blood pressure, to help fight cardiovascular diseases. Fresh peaches eaten raw offer the most health benefits. However, the picking season is short (between June and August), so now is the time to buy them.

MID-WEEK WELLNESS

Did you know that regular exercise is not just good for physical health, but it's also great for eye health? Exercise can lower intraocular pressure, the pressure inside your eyes. Cardio exercise also increases the flow of blood to the optic nerve and the retina. Playing outdoors in the daylight can also help prevent nearsightedness in kids.
Direct sunlight and ultraviolet rays can be damaging to the eyes.
Protect your eyes by:
--wearing a hat along with your sunglasses when outdoors
--never looking directly at the sun and
--visiting your eye doctor at least once a year for a checkup.
