The room is slowly coming to life…towels warming, oils set out, red light glowing softly.

Before my client arrives, I take a few minutes for myself.

Sitting in the circle where I hold healing gatherings, coffee in hand, listening to rain and chakra music. Tarot cards spread across the floor as I check in with my own energy and breathe.

This is part of the ritual too.

Not just preparing the table…but preparing the space, the energy, and the presence I bring into the room.

Today we remembered something simple and sacred.

We went to where the Colorado River runs, and we didn’t do anything important… and somehow it was the most important thing we could have done.

We sat by the water.
We listened.
We talked with it like an old friend.

The sun warmed our skin while the sound of the river washed through our minds. No phones. No rushing. No expectations. Just breath, light, and moving water.

We waded in.
We gathered little rocks that felt like treasures.
We meditated to the rhythm of the current.

And my son? He became fully child again. Head to toe in the river. Frolicking. Splashing. Laughing. Completely one with the water without a single thought of how he looked or what time it was.

Watching him, I was reminded of something we forget as adults:

Nature doesn’t ask anything from us.
It simply invites us back to ourselves.

The river teaches flow.
The sun teaches warmth.
The earth teaches grounding.
And our children remind us how to play inside of it all.

Taking time to sit by the water isn’t “doing nothing.”
It is nervous system reset.
It is soul medicine.
It is remembering that life is meant to be felt, not just managed.

Sometimes the most healing thing you can do…
is sit by a river, let the sun kiss your skin, and remember how to be.

Sometimes I look at my life and realize… I don’t just have one role.

I hold space for bodies to relax and heal through massage.
I work with energy through reiki and soul mentoring.
I blend herbs and teas and oils with intention and care.
I sit with adults in their hardest moments.
I kneel down to meet children at eye level and help them feel safe, seen, and supported.
I teach. I guide. I advocate. I nurture.

And somehow… all of it is the same work.

Helping people come back home to themselves.

This image feels like a reflection of how others see me — and how I’m finally learning to see myself. A healer. A teacher. A safe place. A bridge between practical support and soul care.

This is what Soul Journey Guidance truly is.
Not one service. Not one title.
But a heart-led mission to care for people at every stage of life.

And I am so grateful I get to do this work.
