Word of warning. City of Henderson (NV) now receives a monthly report of all Rabies vaccinations done at ALL veterinary facilities in the city. If you have not licensed your pet with the city, be aware that you WILL be receiving a bill in the mail. If your pet has passed, they do NOT receive a notice of deceased pets. So, you will still receive a bill and will need to contact them & inform of your pet's death. This all started September 2024. I just heard from two clients who just received their first bills in the mail. They seem to be running a bit behind (or are waiting to see if people get their licenses). Please do not yell at your veterinary staff as we have no control over this. Thank you!🧐

Hey, what's up?! 🤣 Oasis Animal Hospital is looking for a veterinary assistant who loves to monitor for surgery, help with patient care, keep up with medical records, interact with our amazing clientele, and all of the other fun stuff assistants do. Oasis Animal Hospital is looking to hire a part time licensed veterinary technician (LVT), one to two days a week. Someone comfortable doing surgery, dentistry, talking to clients, performing X-rays, using IDEXX lab machines, etc. We are a private solo doctor practice with a slower pace and Amazing clients! As I was leaving work tonight, I see a carrier on the sidewalk outside the office. I thought an employee had forgotten to throw it away but then I thought “well what if….”

I checked the carrier and there were two small kittens inside. No water! No food! No note. It is summer in Las Vegas. The temperature is still 96F outside.
If I hadn’t stopped to check, who knows if they would have survived. At least it was night! Sometimes, I hate people! These poor babies!

Took them home for the night. Two little boys with probable ringworm. So hungry!
I’m going to call animal control tomorrow but if anybody wants to foster them, please call the office.

Fourth of July celebrations are coming! If your pet does not handle the stress and noise well, please call your veterinarian PRIOR to July 3. And, keep in mind that an examination may be required if your pet has not had an examination in awhile.
