Forever One Memorial

Eight years ago, our city changed forever.
Today, we honor the 58 lives lost, the survivors, their families, and the thousands forever impacted by the events of 1 October.

We will never forget the bravery of first responders, healthcare workers, and countless community members who came together that night with courage and compassion. For our Community Ambulance team, on the ground, on the radios, behind the scenes, and responding…the experience was deeply personal, and it continues to shape the way we serve today.

Every save has a story. This is one of them.

Our team responded to a 32-year-old man found unresponsive, pulseless, and not breathing. With CPR in progress, rapid interventions, and Narcan administration, pulses and breathing were restored. He was stabilized and transported to the hospital where he was later discharged.

A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves at our Community Ambulance blood drive this past Friday! Together, we:

🩸 Collected 31 units of blood (141% of our goal)
🧍‍♂️ Welcomed 37 scheduled donors
🩸 Gathered 4 Power Red units
🎉 Celebrated 7 first-time donors (over 20% of our total!)

Because of you, patients in need will receive the lifesaving gift of blood. Thank you for making the difference. ❤️
